I would love to see the full code you are using for this. I want to do a similar setup but not with the Neptune pumps. They have proven to be very unreliable for me over the years.

so the things moving are dinoflagellates. the little triangles are diatoms. dinos are pests. you specifically have ostreopsis dinos, they are toxic to corals and CUCs. diatoms are good for your tank in small numbers. if you have dino outbreak, diatoms are your friend as they will outcomete the pest like dinos.

You sure keep a nice tank. BTW, Tin is very commonly introduced through plastic tubing. Also colored dosing tubing if anybody happens to be reading this comment. This may be the number one culprit of high Tin.

Thank you for posting! I'm finding Hair algae is great for a natural aquarium ecosystem. Not sure why it gets such a bad wrap. So much life!

So you replaced the light and the hinges... and the time level went to zero? What did you do for the water? To remove the tin? Large Water changes and continued the cuprisorb?

I'm having 28.0 ug/l now, and I'm trying to work it out, my hinges are rusty but they're below the water line I wouldn't have thought it was possible.

Can the SR Aquaristik stirrer be used with Hanna test kits? You show Hanna kits at the beginning of your video, but don't discuss the results you got with them.

The meter is great, but the packets are terrible. A decent amount stays in the packet and it’s so hard to do without spilling at least some. I assume we don’t need to use it all? I don’t get why they don’t just give me a container with a small scoop like other test kits?!

It seems to me that a pmup can pull 30 gallons out in one hour. That will be too much with the return pump still running. And we want it to continue to run if relying on the optical sensor on the ATK to trigger the end of the water change. So how do you get around this.

I recently ran an outside Airline straight to my protein skimmer my pH has went up from 8.0 to 8.2 which is not too bad I have a window pretty close to the aquarium so that was not a problem bringing fresh air into the skimmer seems to help

Wow. Great Informative video. I am setup to use a DOS for my water changes but with the problems I am having with air getting in those and dosing not happening, proving to be unreliable. I was looking for an alternative and perhaps using pmup pumps. I would not know how to do all the programming. And I found you and this video. I am subscribed. Thankyou. Now I can get this setup. Then look into why I am getting air in my DOS lines. I currently have 3 DOS units. Thanks for this. So Happy.

Bad testing procedure - you touched the glass to put the lid on before shaking, but never wiped the glass clean before putting it in the reader. A lot of the accuracy is lost if you don't have clean glass, even the smallest thing on there will have a big effect.

Not sure if you're still monitoring this but I really liked your video here and narration. I have the Apex par kit but for some reason I appears to be way off in the calibration somewhere. If I place the sensor right up to one of the led lights it will only output about 350 and in the tank I get 0. I need to know if there is a point of calibration somewhere for this sensor readings. Thanks.

Nicely done man.👍 Curious if you were able to hit the illusive 8.3 value? So far after what I’ve tried so far...I can only get as high as 8.1...but I haven’t tried co2 scrubbing media yet. Cheers
