I’ve just watch the first premiere of the movie and it was overall really enjoyable for me as an anime only , i only go to your content for in-depth visual novel content as to understand the story more so i really appreciate your videos, glad to see that bone daddy was back in action with playing 4D chess with NPCs again. I agree that i felt that some parts were left to be elaborated on and shouldn’t be cut off so that the movie would’ve flowed better but overall i find the movie enjoyable

this is why i don't like movie taken from long vol. and they cut some part of it, why don't they just make it an ep or season crucial detail and info about story is being cut.

What I will say as an anime only watcher in defense of the calka cut when it happens you are left questioning her fate but when you see remidios vehemently denying her death and believing she has just been captured you are lead to believe along with her and then when you actually see what happened you look at her questioning if she just refuses any reality that doesn’t fit her perception and then when they find the sacred prince alive it doesn’t seems as far fetched which then nicely sets up the reveal that not only is she dead but jaldaboath has continued to use her body as a weapon to the point where she is nothing but meat on the bone which in the moment is horrific but at least to me in hindsight freaking hilarious 😂. It also made me subconsciously wonder why if calka is dead why is her brother alive which then sets up the greatest reveal at the end of the movie that really left my mind shattered 🤯

I was greatly disappointed on how they said they had to do the movie format to show the more gruesome stuff. Only to wimp out and not show the gruesome stuff AND have to cut out large chunks of the story to get it in movie format. At this point I feel making the movie was a mistake, and they should have done a series so they would not have had to cut out so much content. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie and was very hyped. But now that I got a chance to step back and take a deep breath to analyze the situation, I just realized how bad of a deal we got here compared to what we could have gotten in either other situation. (1: A proper length season with most content intact. 2: A movie that showed EVERYTHING mentioned in the novels.)

My only real complaint about the movie is how they pushed up the final fight. The way they depicted it in the novels felt way more fucked up and devious when Yaldabaoth shows up in front of the human army and starts roasting them alive and we're seeing that from the humans perspective.
