Hi, any advice or help to put the new engine back in and make it fit? I tried but I couldn't. I appreciate your help.

Great tips, super helpful! Gotta replace a rear main seal and I think pulling the engine will be easier than dropping the transmission.

Great video thanks! If I just want to remove the transaxle, I would use an engine hoist to support the engine, drop the subframe and unbolt the transaxle from the engine?

Hey can you show how to replace the litle motor which moves the light up and down?

Thank you for this one and the one taking the bumper off. Mission accomplished. our 2013 model is now 12 years old, so some of the plastic connectors broke on me but luckily I had bought some on Amazon, some of which worked.

Thanks for the tutorial. Got what I needed from it, and changed the starter on my dad's 2012 v6 automatic today in about 1hr. The top bolt was harder to loosen than the bottom one. Once I was in there, I thought I would need a deep socket (I didn't bring one) but my regular 13mm 6 point socket was able to fit snuggly over it (just barely, it bottomed out right at the flange) with my 3/8" 15" breaker bar. I jacked up the car pretty high. The front tires were about 6" off the ground. I was able to get the bottom bolt loose with just a 13mm straight ratcheting wrench. My dad was stoked to be back on the road and was happy that at least one of his sons knows how to fix cars. Lol.

Really helped! Thank you for creating it! I tried it today. But my issue that I have the wrong part. The years above 2010 maybe the same - mine has the diamond shape low pressure house inlet. And the hp is mounted sideways not on top. The banjo bolt sideways.

Got thru it replaced mine this video is certified ✅ It was also possible for me to grab the part thru the air box area there's enough room to replace it through there and fully skip 5:30 the final bracket under the car. If you work at a workshop definitely work by the hour and do the last part 👍

I'm getting ready to do this myself using your method. How long did it take you to change these out? My 2016 appears to be on the original spark plugs with 142K miles on it. So, it's definitely due.
@happywrenching26 күн бұрын
@@treyedean i’d plan on a couple of hours if its your first time working on this engine. I think it took me an hour. FYI subaru recommends changing the plugs every 60k miles on this turbo engine.

Having just done this few times, small time saver for those just removing the headlights - no need to remove 8 bottom screws that hold the splash guards, they are elastic so once you remove all other bolts and clips you can just put the bumper down on the ground and they will bend without damage and you'll still have full access to the bottom headlight bolts. Thanks for the video, still super useful 11 years later.

I've done it just like you showed 3 years ago and today my ball joints seem tight still but when I did mine I removed the ball joint boots and really filled them them up with more grease than they came with and I preloaded all control arms as shown and when I had to change the intermediate CV Jack shaft I noticed after freeing up the top ball joint and taking the strut loose from the lower control arm to get the control arm down enough to move it to the side to get the CV shaft out that my lower control arms seem to move up and down pretty freely but the bushings look good but it's like the guide through the bushing has broke loose from the rubber bushing is that normal? I was thinking that they would still have some control to stand up without any pressure pushing down but they fall all the way down so I take a light and I'll look at that guide to see if it's moving but I'm moving the arm up and down it seems stationery but the rubber is free no longer bonded to it. I don't usually have a sense of loads on my front end pretty much just a driver.
