Weird tangent. I think I finally cracked why Disneys movies have been so…. Crap lately. And why they keep canceling good shows. But maybe this is just some conspiracy theory stuff Some of Disneys most loved animated shows, like the Tangled series, TOH, and Amphibia, All have these quirky, “adorkable” characters. And the shows still do really well! Mostly because they’re written WELL (and with LOVE and PASSION in mind instead of money). Disney is trying to make movies with MCs that have these traits, but skimping out on the personality and good writing so they can get more money, quicker. It leaves the characters empty, the setting nonsensical, and the story… bad! (I’m looking at you wish….) They’re relying on their Name Brand for appreciation, patting themselves on the back for stories that were made by other people. Showing off their flashy “realistic 3D animations B)” because “that’s what’s cool now” I guess. (Even though us fans keep begging Animation studios to pleeeease give us more stylized and animated stuff, because it’s so freaking cool. ((Watch Klaus if you haven’t! IIRC It’s a mix of 2D and 3D but the characters are all done in digital, traditional, hand-drawn 2D!! It’s really good!)) They don’t bother doing anything passionate and new with the HUNDREDS of IPs they have on deck. The stuff they’re making lately is BAD, simply put, and everyone is noticing. I think what’s worse is they’re making the characters POC or Queer so when the movie flops, they can point to that as a scapegoat to say “see! The Gay Afro Latina MC made this movie bad! I guess we can never show queerness or POC in our content again! Oh well!!🤭”. The stories with any heart barely get advertised. They cancel shows with heart to show off their crappy new movie with a similar premise. Almost like they think we’ll flock to it in grief instead of finding another show on a different site. (Or… 🏴‍☠️ cough.)

I can just see Disneys owners manically laughing as they look down on us consumers bowing at their feet. Pretty dramatic I’ll admit but… come on…. Are we just gonna ignore that Disney has become a huge….. uh…. Popular board game??? (Iykwim I don’t wanna get sued) They’re buying up every media platform, every animation studio, Disney could own the whole of Hollywood soon enough. It’s… kinda terrifying. 😦 I wouldn’t doubt they’d be plotting something nefarious like this. Especially with their history. And CURRENTstory!!!! IIRC they just said they’d stop making queer characters??! Someone fact check that if you can 😭😭😭
