Go Minnesota! Great video... After this I'm sure Drew is dying to get his hands on a pair of pants to go with that awesome jacket. Look forward to watching more great customer reviews. Cheers!

I have not subjected my anorak to the extremes in this video, except for the cold rain, and it handled that exactly like he said. However, it is unbelievable how it blocks wind, yet it breaths very well. It is comfortable up to about 55 F, and down to 34 F so far with a merino base layer underneath, . I will be using it this next week when the temp drops into the low 20s or possibly below that. I am waiting on Ralph to make more of the pants too.

Glad to hear it wasn't just me! I was afraid I was leaving something on the table by going midweight, when really I was gaining more with the perks midweight offers. I can always throw on one more layer underneath, but it's so rare I think I'll need to.

Definantly going to buy from these guys. The owner spent a generous amount of time on the phone elaborating the benifits and different nuances when it comes to wool. I also got to learn the history of the lynx pattern and the CPO (Chief Petty Officer) shirt.

👍👍👍👍👍 Wow. This is the Crocodile Dundee of testing. Drew really put the MidWeight Anorak through the Mother of all testing PLUS his feedback on his experience is so well described. Thank you Drew. I'd like to add another positive bit of info on WeatherWool products. I am allergic to wool (most probably the lanolin in it - judging by my reaction to other things containing lanolin, like hand lotion) but I asked Weatherwool for a swatch to test if I was allergic to the wool source they use and they sent me about ten different samples in every colour and pattern they sell, even one of the fuzzy wool trim. I am NOT ALLERGIC to this wool. So for anyone else out there who is allergic to wool, find out if you are allergic to THIS WOOL. You may not be allergic to this brand of wool.

Super glad it was useful, I tried to be specific as possible as everyone has their own situations they would use it in and this way everyone can adjust for how it might fit in their kit. That is an incredible note I didn't even consider with it bypassing any allergy for you. It's in many ways the things you can't see that make this stuff so incredibly different than other items on the market!

Drew definitely did some extreme testing ... Drew is like "mild-mannered Clark Kent" ... Most people should NOT do the Drew-style test. Too much of a shock for the typical person!!! --- But we love that he did this and allows us to present it! -- THANKS DREW! -- Ralph

Good video. Haven’t ordered the WeatherWool but I’m guessing all top range wool anoraks will be of a similar performance

Is the midweight enough for freezing temperaturs
@WeatherWool2 ай бұрын
In general ... YES ... but it depends on a lot of variables. Some people tell me they are fine in 0F/-18C with a light base layer or two. Most would not be comfortable in temps that low, although if the air is still and dry, that would help a lot. In New Jersey, with relatively high winter humidity, MidWeight is what I wear almost the entire winter, with just one or two light base layers. Freezing? 32F/0C will generally be no problem. Thanks -- Ralph
