Worked a 10.5 hour day today, got home walked my dogs, then sat down and watched Bill and Grace motor through the doldrums and landing a nice Wahoo, then right into this Delos episode, the smiling faces, the laughter, listening to Sierra and her ever growing vocabulary, really seeing her personality shine through now. Tip with crabs and cooking, put them in a fridge or on ice a few hours before you cook and they will peacefully fall "asleep".

Yes crabs & Lobsters, rubber bands round claws to prevent incidents & in fridge / cooler ice packs box for a while before cooking. Standard practice. And ensure the boiling water pot is big enough to do the job properly & fast.

@@ryanohnstad We'll assume crabs have some rudimentary form of basic consciousness for the purposes of the discussion. It seems clove oil works as a crab anesthetic & despatcher depending on dose & since crabs have gills etc would alcohol be good for rapid crab killing as alcohol does for fish? Crabs have two nervous system centers which can both be destroyed quickly very easily using a simple technique, loads of videos available, & that kills the crab very effectively.

As interested as I am in the new Cat, these French Polynesia videos - drone, narrative, and simply awesome locations will be missed (and I'm sure will be re-watched over and over). Love your videos!, My mum used to boil crayfish/lobster alive it's really the most cruelest way to kill something, you are better off drowning it in fresh water or cold ice bucket to put them asleep before you cook if you have an Ice maker on Delos bonus!. Still love you all I'm jealous!..

Yep yet another episode , how wonderful. In fact I was so inspired by your 60 day off the grid that I had to try it myself. After watching I put down my beer, turned off my cell phone and laptop. Although I live in a rural area we are only 6 miles from the city, so not to much "off the grid". I went out in the very back part of our property under the trees and just sat down on the ground alone for a really long time ! ...... (well it seemed a long time, actually a little under 3 minutes! but it was cool. Baby steps first! ) Again thanks for letting us watch over your shoulders.
