It's kinda crazy when you think about how many decisions, experiences, and twists in the road lead us to our current realities. I can't really explain exactly how we ended up here....but all I can say is that I'm pretty dang happy and grateful that we did. It's my birthday, and we're here in the incomparable Tahanea Atoll of the Tuamotu Islands in French Polynesia. If I could go back in time and show this video to a younger version of myself and explain that this is my future...I'm not sure if I would have believed what I was seeing! They say you shouldn't speak your birthday wishes out loud, but I can tell you that it looks a lot like this...

Happy Birthday! Some day, I will be living a similar cruising lifestyle. I am well on my way right now, about to close on my 36-foot blue water cruiser and prepping my 22-foot starter boat for sale. Cinematography is absolutely on point! Far as a birthday goes this is hard to beat! Happy Birthday and cheers to another great year of sailing. Idea for the new Delos build. What about putting a camera top of the mast that gives you a near top down view for spotting? I imagine it might need some sort of retractable cover so it doesn't get just cake in salt spray when not in use. Or perhaps a line with a spray nozzle with fresh water to keep it clean rather than getting hoisted up the mast.

Hi, if you're still in Tahanea, if a wind rotation to the north then west happens, there is a great spot for protection as soon as the wind passes North and until the wind turns south then SE again ; it is about 7 miles WNW of the "Seven", and 10 miles WSW from the pass anchorage . wondeful spots for birds. Enjioy !

it's a great place in the lee of a long curved spit that dries at high tide. Do not try to seek shelter in the Northwesternmost part of the lagoon, zillions of bommies and sharks.

Depending on the way you look at that photo , it could read " 7 " or " 2 " . The Night dive was amazing but , come on guys , it's dark out there , there's a lot of scary things in that there ocean .
