@sawyerheslep8493 Thank you very much for your question! I guess my theoretical knowledge is too little to answer such complicated questions, unfortunately. I am not really qualified in theory. But as soon as I find some practical tips for flying better on the field, I will share them here. Sorry and best greetings!

@RCCopterLove these are all things that happen with a helicopter no matter the scale. U should learn about these things! Then you'll have a better understanding of how the air interacts with a rotor system. It helps me understand what's going on, I like to think about how the air will interact with my heli. Especially if you wanna fly scale and f3c. Plus it's just super cool. Knowledge is power and I encourage you to never stop learning!
@RCCopterLoveСағат бұрын
@@sawyerheslep8493 You are absolutely right! I have read a lot about helicopter aerodynamics, Especially the Vortex Ring State Effect and how to come out of it when it happens! I just meant that I dont not really fit enough to make a video about these topics. In a while I will be flying helis for 4 years. So I am really still a greenhorn. Thanks for motivating me to dive deeper into the fascinating interaction of the air with the rotorsystems, main and tail. And you are right once again that it's the best to never stop learning!! I wish you tons of fun learning and flying! Greetings from Poland!

Hi Matthias! I’ve enjoyed watching your videos. I am just getting started in this hobby, and after watching your video, I bought the FrSky X14S and OMP M2 Evo Mk2. Still working on getting it all set up. I was curious what receiver you are using to pair with the X14S?
@RCCopterLoveКүн бұрын
@MattBokmeyer Hi and thank you for your kind words! Congrats to your new radio and heli!! I am happy that I could inspire you. As reiceiver I am using the FrSky Archer Plus RS Mini connected to the S.Bus port on the OFS3 flight controller. Small and light with very good signal strength! I wish you tons of fun and safe flights! Take small steps in the beginning, for instance hovering. Simone Zunterer has a great flight school on her channel (llinked in my startpage) f you have any questions, please let me know! (Especially in flying, in TX and electroninc matters I am rather an ignorant :) )
@MattBokmeyerКүн бұрын
Thank you for the reply! I have that same receiver, but I am having a problem getting it to work. It’s connected to the sbus port on the OFS3 and bound to the transmitter. When I plug in the helicopter battery, I get the flashing LED lights and beeping that indicate throttle channel too high according to the OFS3 manual. Did you have anything like this happen to you?
@RCCopterLoveКүн бұрын
@@MattBokmeyer No, I never had anything like this happen. But to be honest I received a complete and ready model file for my M2 EVO MK2 from a friend and just had to copy it on my X14S. As I wrote you before I am completely hopeless in all transmitter and electroninc questions. All I am interested in is flying, honestly. Really. I know it's stupid of me, because electronincs nad Programming are an important part of our hobby... But I just cant warm up for this topic. But there is a official FrSky Ethos group on Facebook where the guys are very helpful. I understand that your receiver is registered and bound to the radio? I hope you can get this solved. I really cross my fingers and I am sorry that I cant help you! I am helpless by myself.

Hey Matthias!! I had a quick unrelated question, what kind or brand of mini ball Link pliers do you use working on the M2? Yes I finally need them. Lol I flew into the top of a tree which wasn’t so bad but the 40 foot fall to the pavement wasn’t so good.😮 anyway I’ll get her back together but my ball link pliers are way too big awesome video. Keep it up peace.!!

@mykel1969 Thank you very much, Mykel! On my M2 (and my M1's as well) I am using the small black OMPHOBBY ball pliers. They are the only ones fitting on these small balls. You can only take the ball links off (with very few efford) but you have to push them back on the ball with the fingers. But with the M2 this is easy! Sorry to hear about your crash but parts are really cheap on this Real World SIM heli (and ankle biter!!) Hope the link works!! www.buddyrc.com/products/omphobby-ball-link-pliers

@RCCopterLove3 күн бұрын
@@mykel1969 😀 You have to be kind to her now and explain her that she really is a heli and not a cat. It's no wonder that she is very confused, since you call her once "ankle biter", then fly her like a heli and the next day give her the job of a cat! Who would NOT have a identiy crisis??? 😀 I am happy the link worked! The pliers are VERY small for bigger hands, but once you found a good place where to put them under the plastic ball link you can use them without applying any force. It took me some time and practice, because especially around swash plate there is very little free space. But some angles work great. It's a matter of trying. If you need to apply force you don't have them at the right place and something in in the way! Always with very little power. (I have seen your hands, they look qiute powerful!! ) Greetings, brother!!

Do you prehead your Batteries when you flying in cold weather? I want to go flying but I dont know how Bad the Batterie is by this temperature
@RCCopterLove8 күн бұрын
@SkyspinRC2000 Thank you for your question. I do not preheat my batteries, but I keep them in the pockets of my jacket to protect them a bit from the cold. And I reduce the flight times in my timers: In the M2 to 3.30 min instead of 4.15 in warmer conditions. And I never fly when it's below 2 or 3 degrees celsius. Then only SIM. I hope this helps!

Happy New Year Matheus, great video and flying. As you say to talk and fly at the same time is really difficult but you did it very well demonstrating your progressing skills perfectly. Shame it was windy usually the cold frosty days means high pressure and still air giving perfect flying conditions. Watch your batteries though they will not perform as long or as good as in the summer. All the best for 2025👏👍
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@All_things_RC Thank you for your encouraging words! Yes, I am definitely flying much better when I am quiet and ONLY focused on flying. Additional the camera on me and on my heli is giving more pressure, because every mistake is at once recorded... so unfortunately (or fortunately, as you wish), my flying OFF the videos is a lot better, more smooth and controlled. With the batteries you are right! I have them always in thick pockets of my winter jacket to keep them warmer as long as possible and additional have set my timers shorter in winter to not overstress my loved LiPos! By the way in two weeks I want to publish a video focused on how to charge, use, store safely, treat and so on your LiPos to make them last as long as possible in a great shape. I guess this will be interesting, as I was looking for information during my 3,5 years of flying and went through different charger types and models, always stepping up! For you as well all the best for 2025!! Many happy and safe flights!!

Thank you for your exercise-idea. Did you use the M2 EVO MK2? I kept having problems flying backwards with my M2 EVO, where it would suddenly straighten out and stop. I often had the same problem when flying inverted. I hope the new FBL of the MK2 will solve this problem. With my M4 MAX this problem never occurs, and I also find that flying backwards and inverted is easier with this model. I wish you all the best for 2025 and many beautiful flights with your helicopters. Greetings from snow-white Switzerland Reto
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@jupi-aladin Hello Reto! Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, I am now only and always flying the M2 EVO MK2. After many test flights with adjustment right on the field I have setup the heli that it flies like a small copy of my M4 Max (even with white skids for the look). Now its very resposive in roll and pitch(elevator) - rates and Fastforward feed. I love this and that my "classic" M2 EVO was slower in rolling and flipping and less agressive overall on smallest stick inputs disturbed me. If you switch to the MK2 or get the MK2 upgrade kit you will fly the M2 EVO just like the M4 Max! The upgraded swashplate AND the stronger main Motor are important parts to let all factors play ideally together. The skids are just optics but are as well great now with grey trees in the background! Thank you for your wishes! I wish you as well a great 2025 in all aereas of life, not only heli flying! Best greetings from as well snow white Poland!!

@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@r7_guy941 Thank you very much for your good wishes, as well from my wife and camera woman!! The best wishes for you and your family as well. Regarding Expo or dual rates: I am using NO expo and (super) fastest rates. A friend sent me his model files to get started with my new FrSky X14S transmitter. He uses Expo and 3 rates but for me it was almost impossible to fly with these settings. I found it very confusing to see my heli reacting different on the same stickinputs. I never used low rates or expo because i love super, super fast and "sharp" reactions on my smallest micro stickmoves. For me this became second nature from day one and it gives me for my style of flying maximum control and connection with my helis. With Expo all this conected feeling was for me lost. So I deleted all these options as well as selflevel/rescue. I cannot fly at all with selflevel, I can only crash with it.... 😀

Gut ist auch, dass du nicht die ganze Zeit "Stumpf" rückwärts fliegst sondern auch immer wieder mal die Richtung wechselst. Ich habe am Simulator rücken rückwärts fliegen geübt. Was mir komischerweise leicht viel. Aber das fliegen aller Lagen in Normalfluglage also die Basics habe ich da außer acht gelassen. Deswegen ist das rückwärts (Kurven) fliegen mein aktuelles Training. Was soll ich sagen?! Ich habe es mir leichter vorgestellt, als es ist. I'll never forget the first day I tried flying backwards.(long before sims) What u HUGE, terrible realization!! I assumed after learning forward banked turns, that I was done learning!! I crashed so fast!! Looking back on what I know now, I would strongly recommend incorporating backwards flight early on in training. It helps enormously when learning forward inverted flight. I didn't start it early and struggled. when you think about it, it's harder than learning the first time cause now you have to un-learn muscle memory!!! What a cruel thing we do to our brains learning this talent!!
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@mykel1969 Thank you Mykel! You experienced EXACTLY the same like I did. I was crashing as well in the first EVER backwards flying attempt and was so shocked how really difficult it was (and is) that I gave up! I was avoiding backwards flight as much as I could and did instead what I already could do! I am happy that I was overcoming myself and trained it every single day in the SIM and on the field. I wind, around freezing point! Now I know how bad this was and like you I will recommend every beginner to learn backwards as early as possible. It helps be so much in all inverted. I learned to "think" reversed and the muscle memory did the rest! It's sad that it was soo windy when I made this video. On calm days I was hovering half a battery inverted, so 2 minutes and just for relax went upright for a moment and then back to inverted! I believe that flying helis develops the skills or our brain like only view other things!!

@mykel1969 Hi Mykel! My Blades have from time to time contact with bushes and other plants, grass because of my love to close to obsticals flying! I have to tell you honestly that I am a complete OMPHOBBY guy (and a OMPHOBBY Team Pilot, just to be totally honest). I have more than 15.000 (Yes, Fifeteen thousand) flights on 8 OMPHOBBY helis and never ever had a mechanical problem on one of them. All bearings, motors and parts beside crashparts like tailbooms, Blades, shafts and servo horns are the original factory parts. I have 5 M2's of all generations, the oldest one from May 2021 and all are in great shape. So I am a freak and NOT objective. I would go all the way for the OMPHOBBY M2 EVO MK2, because the new flight controller OFS3 gives you all adjustment possibilities you have on bigger helis like your SAB helis. Via Bluetooth you can adjust expert settings and make this little beast fly exactly the way you want it to fly! I know a guy called Sunny I Candy on Facebook who flies the M2 EVO MK2 with Mikado V bar. He uses a Mikado mini receiver. So my recommondation is clear! The new OFS3 makes the MK2 my choice!!

@AnythingEverythingRC Thank you very much! Yes, you have all and even more (bluetooth connection to phone) setup and adjustment possibilities of a bigger heli with a Flybarless system of your choice! I will explore the Bluetooth module and the adjustment possibilities in my next video in January! Merry Christmas and a great 2025 as well for you!!

Nice info... pro tip, white balance your camera.
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@doctorbrown2313 Thank you very much for watching and for your tip! As I am far from professional, we are making these videos with an (a 4 years old) Android samrtphone. Do you know if these adjustments can be made on a cellphone camera as well? Thanks and best greetings!!
@doctorbrown2313Ай бұрын
@RCCopterLove No worries brother, I'm a camera op for concert tours and live broadcast so skin color is the first thing I notice. If your white balance is off then skin tones will be way off. On those phones sometimes you can chose what kind of light you're filming in. Daylight is different from warm light which is different from led lights.. Just gotta play with the settings but also make sure you don't have any kind of filters on. Even the 4 year old phones should give you a pretty good picture when the camera is set up nicely.

@@doctorbrown2313 Thank you very much for your tips! Great to hear you are a camera operator for concert tours! I am a Bass Player in a Latin Band "Rumba Wachaca", far from being known. We are at our beginnings but the music is hot, people love to dance to our latin rhythms (we on stage as well!!) and we are now on the way to get more bookings! My wife and I will experiment with phone and light settings, as we are using a simple LED ring lamp for selftapes etc. Best greetings and we hope to improve thanks to feedback like yours! I wish you great concerts and jobs!!

@RCCopterLove Right on, brother. I've worked with Luis Fonsi, Pit Bull, Gypsy Kings, Ruben Blades, Camila Cabello and the list goes on and on and on.. The Latin scene is an awesome vibe.. I'm sure you guys are crushing it and having a ton of fun along the way. Keep the great video content coming. All the best.

@@doctorbrown2313 Just Thank you for your good wishes. Your list of artists is very impressive!! Must be great fun. Most musicians are a bit like chidren, not without a reason we are saying we are "playing"! And Yes, the Vibe of our Latin Music, the mentality of our musicians from Chile, Brazil and Peru is very, very special! I have played Blues, a bit of Rock, Sound and Funk (which was great!!) but the most I love our actual music! And to see the audience go crazy and have sooo much fun while having a great time playing for the audience is a very special Gift!! We guys are for sure very lucky to experience this! All the very best to you as well and a great 2025!!

Hello, I follow your videos and I'm a fan. I have an omp m2evo and I want to add the mk2 parts, but no one says if there will be an upgrade kit. Because if they are sold separately, the price will be close to a new helicopter.
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@vesko696 Thank you very much for following my videos! This is a great motivation to alway look for new topics! I am sure that OMPHOBBY will offer a upgrade kit to make transforming the M2 EVO into a M2 EVO MK2 more economical. At the moment our factury is working full power to build the M2 EVO MK2 kits needed right now to fulfill the demand. We were receiving a lot of orders already. But I asked a contact person at the factory and as soon as I get an answer I will come back to you! Best greetings and thanks for a little patience! I will come back for sure!

@vesko696 Hi! I have already a first info from the Factrory: As I thought production is now focused on production of the whole M2 EVO KK2 helicopters because of high demand. BUT I received the info that from end of January we are preparing to sell MK2 upgrade kits. The price of this has to be anounced. But this are the plans so far! I I get any more news I will keep you informed!

Nice job Matthias!! My M2 EVO MKII shipped today!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@rickhayes Congratulations, Rick, for being one of the first! When the M2 EVO was introduced in Summer 2022, I was placing right away a preorder at Oringhobbies and because of this I received one heli from the very first batch sent to Europe! I wish you a very fast delivery and that you get this little power monster as soon as possible into the air - where she belongs!! Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a happy new year as well for You!!

Great info video! Can I ask you what speed setting you used on the M2 EVO for elevator and aileron? And what are you now using for rotation rate on pitch and roll for the MK2? Thanks!
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@kmoe4696 Thank you for your question! On my M2 EVO's and all my M2 V2's (same flightcontroller) I was using for Elevetor and Aileron 9 blinks for speed (rotation rate) and 6 blinks for agility (like Feedforward). Now on my M2 EVO MK2 I set for roll and pitch 8 blinks for rotation rate and 7 blinks for Feedforward and it flies great. Rudder/Yaw I left on stock on both (or better all three) versions. As I received a pre production version of the OFS3 flightcontroller for testing I did not update the firmware yet. (Bluetooth module needed, this will come in my next vodeo!) Before I do this I have to reset my mentioned "manually" changed settings for the MK2 because already the latest firmware changed the flightcharacteristics. But right now the M2 EVO MK2 flips and rolls much faster than the M2 EVO and the M2 V2's. I will keep you updated! I hope this helps!!

Thank you for all this information, Matthias. I have two questions: - Are the new skids also sligthly wider or is there "only" a color-change from black to white? - In the "old" M2 EVO, there was a S.BUS cable in the kit included. In the new MK2-kit, are there some cable included for the connection between the OFS3 and an CRSF/ELRS-receiver? I wish you merry christmas and a happy new year Reto
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@jupi-aladi Hi Reto! Thank you very much. The new white skids are having the same width as the black M2 EVO skids. So same mold for the shape. I really love their visibility now in the darker seasons. Regarding your second question I am not sure. I was receiving my upgrade kit to the M2 EVO MK2 version directly from our factory in China. It included the OFS3 Flight Controller, the MK2 motor, the swashplate with new geometry and the white skids. So I upgraded my second Orange M2 EVO to the MKII. But even my original M2 EVO in a sealed package from June this year did not include receiver cables. I am using FrSky receivers and the needed cables were always included in the receiver set. Sorry that I can't tell you this exactly. I wish you as well a Merry Christmas and a great New Year!! Many, many happy flights!!

We will offer a cable for the ELRS-receiver
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@@ChloeXu-e8b Thank you very much for clarifying this! So @jupi-aladin , now we know!
@andyMSH700Ай бұрын
Its ability to fine tune is pretty much lost on me...even though i consider myself an advanced 3D flier the standard M2 is more than capable for my needs....however i will change to it as i want ELRS recievers on all my helis, merry Christmas and God bless.
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@andyMSH700 Thank you for your wishes, Andy! All the best for you as well!! I am a 3D beginner and I felt the difference right out of the box! I guess the worst your (my!!) collective pitch management is, more one needs fast rotation speed in rolls and flips to "get through" it as fast as possible. As well the tail performance of OFS3 is unbelievable! I am convinced that you will love it with ELRS. All my team pilot colleague do!!

I had an M2 Explorer in green Color before but wasn‘t sure if it is the same visibility on the M4 Max. After your flight Video I ordered it with the green Canopy and I didn‘t regret that. So thank you very much for your „In-Flight-Review“!
@RCCopterLoveАй бұрын
@rc-helifreak I had the same doubts or even more, becaue I never had a green canopy before. But this green is so much in direction neon that it contrasts great from the grass and the trees. There is no such green in nature (in Poland at least). I am happy that you like it now! Also the white skids make a big difference in front of dark background. I was even thinking about replacing the black skids on my M4 with the white of the M4 Max. I'd love to see how small helis like the M2 would look with white skids!
@rc-helifreakАй бұрын
@@RCCopterLove I think they heared you 😂 Looks like the new M2 Evo Mk2 has white skids now.

@@rc-helifreak Yes, this is true! Mine are on the way and I cant wait to change my little M2 into a small sister of the M4 Max! The biggesst difference will be new flightcintroller with bluetooth adapter for FBL changes via mobile app. And full telemetry! The M2 EVO MKII will fly like a small M4!!
