Excellent video. Thank you for making this instructional set. While cleaning my MKII the firing pin stop drifted out of the bolt and the delicate return spring fell out. It took me a few minutes to figure how to reassemble it on my own. But I enjoy figuring things like this out, plus you never forget after that. I'm sure this video will help many with their issues. Thanks. Beautiful target pistol BTW!

I stumbled on this video a week or so ago looking for minor upgrades I could do for my 10/22 trigger group. Ordered the shims and got them really quickly. They do an amazing job taking up the parts wiggle in the stock trigger. Thanks Lance for an amazing product!

Consistency? You need a digital scale.
@TriggerShims
@TriggerShims 3 жыл бұрын
Actually this spring scale is very accurate, and is checked against a 2 and 4 pound scale weight. Consistency is in how it is held, where the hook sets each time on the Trigger, and how well you duplicate the pull. Most all scales made now are manufactured in Communist China, I like and will keep my old USA scale, Thanks

I have a older colt M4 AR15 will this upper work on it also?
@TriggerShims
@TriggerShims 3 жыл бұрын
You will have to get an upper that will match your Colt lower, I would assume so, but some older Colts were not the same, and will require an offset pin, they are available at EABCO - www.eabco.net/Colt-AR15M16-Receiver-Offset-Adaptor-Pin_p_15090.html

Just the information i wanted to know about .. I finally found a Ruger 77/22 around 6 years ago which was just what i wanted .. Walnut stock , Blued barrel and action and no iron sights .. My bolt has no slop once the bolt is closed , in fact it closes up tight .. I have no light firing pin strikes .. Accuracy is quite good with different brands of ammo.. Once i remove the bolt from the firearm it does have some clearance between the two bolt pieces but not a lot .. Should i install a shim kit anyway? thanks you make great videos of instructions ..
@TriggerShims
@TriggerShims 3 жыл бұрын
The play in the bolt you see when it is out of the rifle is correct, and is in the design. The same with the tightness you feel when it is closed, that is in the bolt lugs. What you cannot feel or measure is the front half of the bolt, and if it is tight against the back of the barrel. Shims are both a measuring device, and if needed, a remedy. A full simple explanation of the process is written on my website at; www.triggershims.com/ruger_m77.php#77%20Bolt%20Shim%20Instructions
