depends on the dumpster size that is on it. I don't have it anymore but I think a 20 yard was roughly 14k empty so I could legally haul about 6 ton

I don't rent my dump trailer out to anyone but just from my own use I've learned that no matter how careful I am things get broken/lost or otherwise damaged. I wouldn't even consider loaning or renting it out to people who don't care anything about it if I didn't own a welder to make my own repairs and upgrades.

My dad just got these installed, and I have airlift suspension on my car, but we weren’t expecting the compressor to turn on every 3 minutes while aired up, is this how it’s supposed to work? Or is there a leak? Cause we do hear air escaping after airing up
@outdoorzwithcraigdz6 ай бұрын
compressor shouldn't be running unless you adjust the PSI. You must have a leak. Eventually it will just shut off to prevent killing your battery.

Yes, I didn't have any issues with them. My buddy actually got a pair for his truck as well. I would 100% do onboard air. Makes things real easy.
@ThePaperBoy1877 ай бұрын
Like others have said those springs need tightened and your plow should be fully angled trying to move that amount of snow. And you would have had 0 issues. Always push snow further then you need so you don't start boxing yourself in.

Thanks for the tranparency and sharing your thoughts. I have watched your vids from the begining. I like you input on excavation. What type of jobs are plentiful in excavation? What equipment do you need to get at a minimum? Can you rent untill you build volume and cash reserves?
@outdoorzwithcraigdz7 ай бұрын
You really need to find what you like to do. I personally like more the land clearing then digging holes. Also isn't a ton of people that do it around here. You can rent but you need charge more for the job. Rental skid steer might be $700 for 2 days. My payment for the month is $1000. Doesn't take many jobs before the numbers look better buying. The excavator I use more than the skid steer. Next year I'm going to look at doing Mulching and more 1 person jobs so I don't need to always have help with me.

I was just curious how you vet your customers? Do you require proof of insurance? Have you ever turned anyone away for being shady or a flake? What is your recourse if they don't bring your trailer back?
@outdoorzwithcraigdz8 ай бұрын
I stopped doing trailer rentals. I was strictly dropping them off and picking them up myself. Had issues the few times I rented them out. Likely doing rentals again in the spring and will require insurance up for equipment for sure.
@jackkonnof41068 ай бұрын
I hope you charged the idiot a deposit because that damage is blatant carelessness. This is why I would have a tough time renting stuff out because I have no tolerance for this kind of thing. Unless it was hooked to my rig and hauled it for them.

My 2022 XP Pro is geared a little high in low range for rock crawling. It will slip the belt a little before it will climb a vertical rock in 4 wheel drive. Now that I have 32" tires on it it's a little worse. I think a gear reduction is needed for rock crawling.
@maxeffortlawnservice92499 ай бұрын
About to order the piston pump version of this deck. I wonder if the worse cut you noticed toward the end was a result of your gear motor losing steam as it heated up (going off what MTLs literature states on their page discussing different motor options)? Thanks for the vid!
@outdoorzwithcraigdz8 ай бұрын
Yeah I don't think the failure I had was heat related. We pulled the pump apart and there was no heat damage that we could see. Possible pump defect or, wear from hitting objects.. maybe hit something solid that stopped it spinning. I wasn't there so probably never know the true story. Down side of having employees.
@maxeffortlawnservice92498 ай бұрын
Why I refuse to hire any although it appears to be an inevitability lol. I'm not sure you'll notice any damage per say, just the reduced performance after fluid and motor cool off a bit, or that would be what i'd think based on what the MTL literature says (I could be way off)@@outdoorzwithcraigdz

By chance did you look at the KXO 33-4 as well? I’m looking at it and the 40. But wondering if it’s worth the $30K more. Also I’m not sure if I need the bigger machine. I’ll be using it mainly to take out stumps from harvested timber. Mostly less than 3’ in diameter.
@j0917DW7 ай бұрын
Did you buy? I’m looking at the same size in the 33 and 40 for stumps and personal land clearing.
@jamesstatham2397 ай бұрын
@@j0917DW Well not knowing any thing about them and no one that does for about the same sized machines the Bobcat was about K83k. More than I wanted to spend since it will be for personal use on my timber farm. The Kabota KXO40-3 was $78K. The Kabota KXO33was $59k. Then I went to my local Kabota dealer and I didn’t like his attitude. I asked for an out the door price on the KXO33-4 He said $71K. He didn’t look up anything. Just blurted out a price. $11k more than the first Kabota dealer and 0nly $7K less than the KXO40-3 with 6 way blade. So I started looking at other brands. Ended up with a Takeuchi TB240 with a 13”, 24” and a 36” grading bucket for $63K. It’ll be in next month.
