What is the pipe size and length that you attached to it and how did you mount it in the tank so it sits down and doesn't escape?
@ssaquascapes6 сағат бұрын
If you mean the CO2 line, it is a standard CO2 line or airline that comes with the kit. You could use any airline tubing. The diffuser has a suction cup if you were referring to that part not floating up.
@beat2befit6 сағат бұрын
@ssaquascapes i mean the tube. The set I found doesn't include one and I have to buy seperately but don't know the diameter.
@ssaquascapes4 сағат бұрын
Oh, no worries. All airline and CO2 tubing is the same diameter. Just grab some at your local big box store or jump on Amazon and search for CO2 tubing. CO2 tubing is thicker and is recommended but airline tubing will work as well. 🤘

Yes. The ratio is correct. Some have said you can have a bad reaction based on brand of ingredients. Also, some reactions can take 24 hours to fully complete. I would use that bottle till empty and then try again. If you have the same results we can brainstorm some other ideas. 🤘

Very strange that you think the melting plants are contributing to the plant recieveing nutrients... the plant is using uneccessary energy because of the suffering leaves. You're suppsed to cut those off so the plant can concentrate its energy to the healthy leaves and the production of new healthy leaves. Also, your co2 levels are low due to the massive amount of surface agitation. Your co2 indicator is a darker green, should be a lighter green..but the one drop ph test is a better way to test co2 levels. Bucephalandra has a tendency to melt in new setups, many aquascapers add them once tank is established. You commented that you didnt do your initial daily water changes...because you were lazy..not acceptable.

My tank psi reads more than 600 psi (it looks like 800) and I cant get my outgoing psi above 0. CO2 will not leave the tank. Any tips?
@ssaquascapes5 күн бұрын
Tank pressure is ok as the cylinder is designed for way more pressure (per instruction sheet). If it is a dual stage regulator make sure the black knob is open, and ensure bubble counter needle valve is open. If none of that is the issue, you probably have a stuck regulator or needle valve. Warranty replacement.

Great videos, so far. I have always been told not to clean my filters at the same time I'm doing a water change. Is the use of R.O. water why you can do that?
@ssaquascapes11 күн бұрын
People are worried about destroying bacteria colonies by cleaning the filter and changing the water at the same time. However, bacteria does not live in the water. It lives on surfaces. If you clean the filter fast enough, you do not destroy the bacterial colony. I have not had any issues at all doing this in my time as a hobbyist.

Is the waste water supposed to be that much? Seems like a lot of wasted water. Any idea what is in that that makes it bad?
@ssaquascapes12 күн бұрын
A better term is actually bypass water. The ratio is 4:1. The RO membrane can only filter so much water, but there is higher pressure and flow going into the system than it can handle. Therefore, bypass water has to be expelled. It is just tapwater that has been expelled.

@@ssaquascapes awesome idea, keeping water in the cartridges isn’t gonna cause bacteria build up correct? I’m assuming u don’t drain every cartridge in between every use, correct?
@ssaquascapes15 күн бұрын
When you turn off the water pressure, the cartridges will naturally drain out of the wastewater hose as it is above the drain (physics rules!). When I turn it back on they refill. There may be some bacteria that grows in there, but I don’t worry about it, because it would be anaerobic in nature, as they are sealed cartridges. I do allow the water to flush for a few seconds before inserting the hose into my aquarium though.

My unit fills a 5 gallon bucket in 1:45. Check to make sure all cartridges are seated properly and all hoses are fully inserted. The RO filter goes all the way in the tube. Make sure your tap is full on as well. It shouldn’t matter which water you run through it, though we’ll pumps normally have a lower pressure.
