I believe so. They all go kinda clear when moved and scared. But I have 3 that have never colored up. I would imagine these are females but could be a recessive male.

hygrophila pinnatifida is probably my favorite plant, it is so versatile. I think a hygrophila pinnatifida only tank would be an awesome idea, though I recommend you consider the addition of staurogyne bihar as well due to its very similar look. It's great to see the continued evolution of the dragon valley 1.0.

Thanks for the kind words. I think a Pinnatifida and Buce tank would be cool. High light to make the Pinnatifida turn purple/red with a more brown Buce on the other side. 🤘🤘

Well first of all, the disconnect between lips and brain happens to me more than I care to admit so for me this video gave me an added bonus. LOL This has to be your best scape so far. It's beautiful and healthy so that is why we comment so much. I have never seen such large leaves on an alternanthera. Absolutely beautiful. As for the Red root floaters and the pinnatifida, clean them up and bring them to LFS and trade. $$ I am surprised the shrimp are not breeding more but I would not be surprised if the chilies start to breed. As always Good Stuff!

Thank you. I’d love for the chilies to breed. Hopefully with some hiding areas they will. The shrimp are breeding in the aquarium but I have pulled out some shrimp for other scapes (like the moss only tank). I guess the Alternathera loves my style of fish keeping: little maintenance so a dirty substrate. 🤣

::::singing:::: It’s my Pinnatifida and I’ll pull if I want to, pull if I want to! 🤣 This tank had some gold neons in there but they are moved into the 75 gallon. Not a huge fan of the classic red/blue neons.

1 things for sure you can grow some amazing plants. I can't find red root floaters down here in Naples. Really only frog bit and duck weed are the only floating plants at the shops. Honestly we don't have very many plants at any of the stores around here. If ya ever felt like selling some to a subscriber I'd love to get some from ya.

I've only experienced Pearling twice, 1st time was day 2 of putting co2 in a tank and it was an Anubis and the other time was some guppy grass that was busting out of a 20 long. I want to do some major rescapes on a few tanks and dragon valley 1 is the inspiration behind that desire. 👍🏼 Looks amazing.
