For me in this fight I used Fennrir with Ultima for final form, to me fenn breaks combos on the ground and I destroyed Xemnas lol.

I'm here due to the Final Fantasy VI T-edition mod/romhack, where they made this the boss theme for the Humbaba fight. It sounded super familiar and was, though I haven't played Lufia 2 in so long it took me a minute to remember where it was from. Good times.

I think this whole story would have been better produced as an anime. Season 1 featuring the events of Lufia II, with season 2 featuring the events of Lufia and the Fortress of Doom.

I love how in the OG version the music drops when them this finishes "No more eternal than that radiance of yours" line. 2.5 messed it up with that moment of silence before the music kicks in.

The part that I'm having the most trouble with is where Sora is getting his health drained and you take control of Riku, I keep getting "Guard!" and a butt whooping from Xemnus... I commend the dude for not giving up easily but like, bruh just stop and take a dang breather will you.

So anyone else wanna recognize how easy beginner mode makes to fight these bosses? Dude in the video woulda died a million times in critical mode.

looking back at this game, it may be one of the most polished games i've ever played. the lack of frame drops in that laser part at the end would be unheard of in games today

This game is probably one of the only ones that impacted me emotionally. That ending on the SNES though...

If they changed it so that if your heartless and your Nobody dies then you die forever then this game would've been the perfect ending. Ansem was already destroyed in the first game so Xehanort's heartless is gone then after Xemnas dies Xehanort is no longer a threat. If you also ignore the spin-off games that came after KH2 then the ending still holds up. This would give greater weight to Roxas's storyline because if he died during any point Sora would have been gone forever since his heartless died in KH1. Riku turned good, Roxas found peace, and Axel died in peace having helped the light. If you exclude the scene where they get a letter from Mickey and the secret ending then it's a satisfying ending. There was honestly no need to continue after this game.

This final battle was way better than the final battle with xehanort in kh3. Like this shit was epic. Kh3 final battle was kinda lame imo. Its Especially even worse when you take into consideration all the build up that xehanort had throughout the series.

I am a critic of kh2 and I vastly prefer the final mix version for it's optional content but with that, Xemnas has always been my favorite xehanort. One thing crucial that the remix screwed up was the timing of the music starting.

This is a crappy end boss fight I die in the first ten seconds yay Edit: ok 2 hours later and hes dead but I still hate the boss battle it is so stressful. But i understand if you think its the goat.

Sometimes I listen to this entire fight scene when I'm driving, as is if it were music. Even with the repetitive sound effects, everything about the audio during this fight is ear candy. Even the shit Xemnas says I can't quite make out. The incoherence at times has its own eerie appeal. Still my favorite finale of all time. Hands down.
