That's Square-Enix for ya, that style is too damn popular,but at least the personalities are intact. The Sinistral's are great, and are a pain in the ass (bonus points *spoiler* on Daos, for getting all the towns to be scared shitless to the point where you can't enter them anymore at one point). Just wish it was seen better, because Lufia 1 would be good to remake, since it was overshadowed by nearly every other RPG because of how meh the gameplay was.

Be awesome if people would realize the game is a reboot and not a remake, and stop compairing it side by side with the original. Then maybe it would be seen better, and the first would get some love, because Lufia 1 NEEDS a remake or reboot.

I never played the DS and by looking at it, it always comes to me how ridiculous the heroes' and heroine's outfits have become (wonder if Tia has a trollface somewhere in a hidden cache?). However Gades seems cool as always, and Amon there looks total cool with that face! So yeah, ultimately, it does not look all that bad!

The DS version is meh. Play the original. The only thing I liked about the DS version was the music and even then the original had such epic music it sounded just as good.
