This is not the true Taco Bell’s beffy tostado . It had some kind of sauce I used to think it was their enchilada sauce.

How to Make Taco Bell Meat: 1: Go to bathroom. 2: Take a dump. 3: Reach in and remove said dump. 4: Smear on tortilla. 5: Serve cold. 6: Enjoy, then see step 1 again.

There was a Numero Uno in Burbank right down the street from Warner Records/Warner Bros Studios and it was on our regular rotation. It closed as did the one in Pasadena and now I have to go all the way to North Hollywood (nunoho) to get this beautiful pie! THANK YOU for posting this!

I haven't enjoyed the quality of my local taco bell, so I went searching for a copy cat recipe. THIS IS THE ONE. This tastes EXACTLY like taco bell beef to the point of laughing at how stupidly exact it was. I now occasionally enjoy homemade crunchwraps that taste exactly like tacobell at the fraction of the cost. I LOVE YOU MAN.

Sorry, but this is not chicago style. A few places do this, but vito and nicks, for example, is way more famous on the internet than it is around here. We have a thin crust style, but it's not "crackery" at all. I'd say rosati's is the canonical chicago thin crust pizza.
@howtocooke13 күн бұрын
I was referring to "good" Chicago Thin crust pizza. So many just use the same dough from the deep dish and thin it out... yuck! Rosati's was way better back in the day. Corporate weenies ruin everything! The dough is still good, but penny pinching seems to have killed the rest of it. BTW, it's not an actual cracker. That was my dad's term for it. He was born and raised. So was my Mom. I grew up on this stuff, too. Big O was a Cali style thin crust guys tried to copy from back home. No offense intended.

I get better results when I add the packet of seasonings or individual seasonings as you are doing early to let it cook into the meat. I do this also when making chili instead of what I use to do adding the chili powder in a pot of water and cooked meat hoping the chili powder would flavor the meat.

You need a second propane tank. I use mine for my griddle, but I have two because I'm a big dumb moron and will run out on a Sunday morning after I've promised to make the kids and their friends breakfast. Such is the curse. There's a propane place that fills your old tanks off of Edinger and the 55 for a reasonable price, too. Just bring two tanks or the minimum is stupidly unreasonable.
@7Wolf2k18 күн бұрын
You have got to try the Moistmaker. I believe it's from an episode of Friends, but I didn't watch that crap, so not sure. There's another guy that has a cooking channel on KZbin. His name rhymes with Pam or something and he's a guy that cooks, but he makes a truly incredible version of that sandwich. I make one or two of those every year after T-Day (which is the greatest of all holidays). Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

Oo! We never thought of putting dressing in a waffle iron, though we regularly use the waffle iron for cheese-egg waffles(with no flour at all).
@howtocooke18 күн бұрын
That sounds really good. How much egg and cheese?
@KevinRCarr18 күн бұрын
We shred 2 8oz blocks of cheese -we use xtra sharp cheddar, but any cheese other than a mozzarela or monterey jack type will work. Beat 8-9 eggs, depending on size, and mix the cheese in, then pour into the waffle iron. We use maple syrup with them, but the possibilities are endless. They would be good with a savory or hot sauce over them, just as well.

For making one pizza my 1/2 in wlmrt stone works great and gives me nice crispy browning all over the crust (with no need to turn the za half way) while only preheating for 30 minutes. 2 hours heating the steel seems way overkill to me.

best pizza in the whole world was Numero-Uno... my wife and i lived about 30 miles from the last one in existence and we would drive the 45 m in or so there a few times a year and they just recently closed and we were so bummed out... we always went to the original one on La Cienega in Los Angeles and it was amazing... The heinz origonal is not the same BBQ sauce that's on the western bacon. The heinz is the same as the packet they hand out. I have been on a years long mission to find the sauce on the western bacon. I think it's the Catlemans smoky base
