the holy grail for 80's hot hatches was the 3rd gen Civic !
@TorqueSteer5 сағат бұрын
Interesting choice. How about the CRX?
@originalnuttah6125Сағат бұрын
@@TorqueSteer do like them but wouldn't really class is as a 'useable' hot hatch, more of a 'compact sports car', considering how much less practical and lack of proper rear seats there are.. Besides, the 3rd gen Civic is far more accomplished in motorsport; "The Civic raced in division 1 for cars with engine displacements from 1,001 cc through 1,600 cc, but the car was so fast it overtook machines in Division 2 and occasionally those in Division 3, where engine displacement was as big as 2,500 cc. In fact, in the opening race of the West Japan Circuit, not only did the Civic win its own class, but its front-wheel-drive layout gave it an advantage over rear-drive cars in wet road conditions, and it overtook a BMW 635CSi to finish 2nd overall. Again, even in the scorching heat in the 3rd round at Tsukuba Circuit, it took 2nd overall. In the end, the Civic won all six rounds in class, delivering the Constructors' Title to Honda." The 205 and golf are not even comparable. If you're a real driving enthusiast and are lucky enough to find one on market, don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed. Even in stock, poverty form with smallest available engine, they are incredibly fun.

This doesn't work for Siri and Naviagtion. For Honda's handfreelink, this is automatic for audio playback in CarPlay. HOWEVER, you can re-direct the Siri and Navigation sound. That's bummer. Anyone has a solution?
@karenarmendariz2858Күн бұрын
Hey I realize this video is from a while back but I have searched for a answer and nothing has worked. I have a Temu CarPlay dash mounted device, I can hear the caller on a incoming call but they can’t hear me , also when I ask Siri to send a text message she asked what do I want to say, when I give my message she doesn’t respond and no message is sent. I don’t think it’s the internal speaker on device because she acknowledges when I say hey siri. I don’t know what else to check on device as I’ve already checked volume and don’t know what settings on my phone could cause this if any. Hoping that you could offer suggestions. I would sure be grateful! My brain hurts from trying to figure this out 😅

Nice video Luke - detailed and very thorough test - I was considering a Podofo unit, but not now. One comment I have regarding the FM range. I had a Bluetooth / FM transmitter to connect my iphone. What I noticed when in busy towns is radio interference. This may have been that the channel 87.5Mhz was being used by a local radio station but I also cnsidered that if other people have these units in close proximity then it is possible their FM transmitters are causing the interference I experienced. This is was not a one off as it frequently occured when travelling through busy traffic areas. I actually removed the external aerial to help reduce the interference.

Always like the159 tS, its such a nice car. Sadly I couldn't find a good example ( and most importantly at a reasonable price) when I change car 4 years ago. Hopefully this one will serve you well for many years (unless it helps you to switch to a better car XD)

Trademark Torque Steer job, making an older car look very nice again! Reminds me of all those cars you've detailed before, the A4, A3, a BMW 1 I think? The Mustang etc all came out very nicely. I think the A3 was the toughest job back in the day, you did a two stage job and rented a place with a car hoist if I remember correctly? Now all that remains is to change the broken damper in the back and you can drive this beauty right?

Wow! Such an improvement. I'm still trying to get up the nerve to machine polish mine. One observation, round the wheel arch has a protective film. If you had removed this, there might have been less touch up required. Great job, keep up the great work.

Also, a big deciding factor for me was whether the units had 'dual bluetooth' so that my phone's audio can still be linked to the vehicle for calls and music, so the unit is effectively a screen only. Looking forward to further updates 😊
