In Mississauga this also causes the bike signals to turn red for about 4 seconds before turning green since they are always timed with the pedestrian signals and have that early clearance interval.

Ontario Canada Highway Traffic Law states that: While driving, you see yellow, you press the brakes. If your vehicle stops past the stop line, continue through the intersection for it is illegal to stay within the bounds of an intersection. And then they install red light cameras, and now give you a ticket for obeying the law! The red light cameras should not exist!

@@n085fs Except they only begin registering after the red phase has begun. It will simply ignore traffic in the intersection that's in the intersection and standing still, because traffic law (and its implementation in traffic lights) is such that it's completely legal to be in the intersection right after the light has gone red. That's what clearance time is for.

Amtrak does run one train through Back bay with diesel power. The Lake shore runs once a day (unless they cancel it) in each direction through BBY with P42s I'd also add MARC to the list. They run both diesel and electric services and this would be better than the current set up of an (almost) all diesel fleet, even on the NEC under wires. Its insane.

We visited Niagara Falls for about a week last year. Wego was surprisingly good in getting us around. It's also wheelchair accessible. The only complaint is that it drops you off half a kilometer from the GO train if youre using the train to travel between NF and Toronto. As for GO, they're morons and have no shelters or even canopies to protect riders from the weather while waiting for trains.

If EXO would have had control over the Vaudreuil line, a simple branch to Dorval airport would have been possible and eventually Windsor converted to an underground terminal which could have been extended past downtown, but as long as it remains controlled by CP Rail, this will be hard to accomplish. In Europe, the rails are owned by a national authority and all railroads can have access. Such a situation would have made Montreal's system a lot better.

😂 thank you for making this video to get the word out. If you are interested here is an update. Now in 2024, one year into the niagara regional transit (NRT) amalgamation which consolidated the local and regional service into one provider but left the two fare system...more on that later. This year NRT is expected to take over the red thewego route into a local route... One they were already operating according to your video? But the local route take over had to be delayed by several months to save operating budget for 2024... Maybe the operation of wego routes wasnt taken over by the amalgamated NRT at the same time. In 2025 the amalgamated transit authority is expected to harmonize the regional route and local route fares. Today a regional route costs $6 per ride and a local route costs $3.00 per ride... I wonder just how they will harmonize that. And a last update for niagara transit is that upgrades to the Go train lines and stations has increased train service to 3x per day connecting Niagara and Toronto year round, previously it was seasonal for summer tourism. There is more frequent Go Bus service, at least hourly... The Go Stations in Niagara Falls and St Catharines have major renovations planned for the buildings and surrounding roads to improve operations. I believe there is also a medium term plan to build a new Go Station in Grimsby.

Another question: now that the mount-royal section is no longer on the commuter rail, does that mean the bothersome multi-level coaches could also be sent somewhere else?
@OntarioTrafficMan
@OntarioTrafficMan 10 ай бұрын
No the Multilevel coaches also exist because they can serve both high-level and low-level platforms. Several Exo stations on the CN portion of the network have high-level platforms so BiLevel coaches cannot be used.
