This is why I am transitioning to natural hair. I've relaxed my hair for about 23 years and all the issues you have with your relaxed hair is what I've been experiencing. Since I've stopped relaxing my hair with a lot of new growths, I can tell you that I find it easy to manage my hair better and also the shedding has reduced drastically. I make my oils myself and also make my hair myself too which has been helpful. I'm grateful to God for this new journey, He has made it possible.

I used the round brush on my thick 4c hair and it is incredibly smooth. And little to no breakage. I was wowed

Do your own relaxers but don't brush your scalp before getting a touch-up. I've been doing my own relaxers and have for 30 years, with nearly no damage (see my other comment below @Livingforlife1). The Japanese treatment is called the 'keratin treatment'. It is recommended not do this treatment over a relaxer: it is best used only on virgin hair.

I don't understand it too, been using no.3 for a week now like 3x and still no effect. Have normal straight long frizzy hair... I don't know what am doing wrong. I start to think it's fake.. People end up straightening it for that soft effect.

Hmmm.. were yall sold fakes by the salon or online? I know lots and lots of fake products in the market. I had my hair keratin treated and it became dry and tangled af. Bought Olaplex 3 at Sephora cos K18 wasn't in stock. Used it once last night and boy my hair hasnt felt this soft in years. Left it for 15 minutes on damp, dirty hair. Shampooed and conditioned after. No fuss, just incredible soft, manageable hair. Not gonna use it regularly. Probably once a week. Hope the softness maintains😊

I think 100k budget is good. I was told to try save 6months worth of rent, that will more or less be enough to move

I really love my curls & playing with my 4c texture that everytime I twist out my hair, it pains me in a way because I know I will miss seeing my curls for some time. - Adding relaxer to my hair at this point would not be good for me. It'd make me sad. But, I sure support my friends who love their hair relaxed. I guess they feel the same way I do about my 4c hair.

I rarely moisturized my hair too, and I have a relaxer and my hair was down to my bra strap in the back. I decided to color my hair and it's now shedding and breaking off profusely due to the color. I haven't colored it in so long, I forgot what happens to it. I'm definitely moisturizing it now to try to save it.

If your comb or brush is always dirty and oily for over Moisturizing then know that you doing to much.. With my light fine texture relaxed hair , my hair can only have the Dominican blowout bouncy wavy look , only WHEN I DON'T MOISTURIZE MY HAIR so my hair strands are not choked with oils or creams. Twice a week i only OIL MY SCALP with rosemary fungreek home made oils o makr myself but i focus on scalp never hair strands. My hair sways like a wig only if i do this method of not choking my hair strands with creams or oils.. LET YOUR HAIR STRANDS BREATH, ABSOLUTELY NO MOISTURIZER ON EARTH WILL GICE YOU MAJICAL GROWTH, ITS ALL A MYTH I only Moisturize on wash days using dime sized oRS glossy Oil, just a dime size. . KZbinr Niara Alexis taught me all I know. Her shoulder legth bouncy hair texture is my hair goals,

Professional stylists have burned my hair a few times. I’ve been relaxed for 20 years and it is SO much better relaxing my hair by myself. We are naturally gentler on our hair and scalp and listening to ourselves when we do it at home :)
@bobbies15625 күн бұрын
Same here. One stylist used 'Super' strength relaxer on my fine, non-porous hair: it broke off. Another used a ammonium thioglycolate relaxer, despite my telling her it makes my hair hard and turns it into straw. She insisted it would be fine. I had to cut if all off. I have paid good money, only to have my hair ruined. After that last experience, I do my own relaxers with little to no damage. I wait a minimum of 3 - 4 months for touch ups.

Glad you’re not afraid of moisturizing, I’m kind of sick of hearing people talking about their hair being weighed down. Can’t relate to caring about that tbh, I’d rather my hair be moisturized

I don't like salon because I have seen them use the same tools on everybody hair without washing them. It can put a fungus in your scalp. Everybody scalp isn't the same even after they wash it.

Turn the satin wrap inside out so the thread line wouldn't leave a print in your hair. And when wrapping comb as much hair from the center to the front then brush around.
