A major part of the game is getting from level 1 to when you quit and that progression REQUIRES you focus on MSQ as everything and a few cats is locked behind the MSQ wall. So shouldn't the video focus on surviving the MSQ without quitting? It is pretty pointless to talk about a job at 90, when that is not going to be THE GAME for new players. In my experience now days, max level is when people quit, so it's entirely pointless how a job works for the 1% of the 1% elite raiders. The MSQ has many solo blockers that need to be cleared without help and most jobs is just not easy solo, healers is slooooooooooooooooooooooow solo, as they get less damage, due to being able to survive, DPS has issues of glass canon status, they need a tank to work well, tanks get you through the MSQ easier, but you might want to due with a high dps job, for the non instanced stuff.

You need to learn the difference between social anxiety (a REAL mental health issue that you need profesional help) and whatever nonsense your are talking about in this video. I'm fairly sure that you have made up this social anxiety game issue, as we have no useful research on the topic. In the first few weeks of playing, the only time I've seen anyone saying anything is gold spammers or GG stuff after a dungeon run, but the people exit the dungeon before one can respond. I'm a few 100 xp from getting several level 90 jobs. So my experience so far is that there is no social element in the game at all. If you are an established player with 3000 linkshells and a big FC, then the experience might be different, but say and even pickup party chat is completely and utterly dead.

I feel it should be added fates from 1-50 are decent enough exp for leveling with, but once you hit heavensward and stormblood the amount of exp awarded drops significantly to the point where you'd need to do 30-40 fates per level (maybe more). I recommend doing the highest dungeon to your level for 50-70.. 70 onwards shadowbringer and then Endwalker fates reward reasonable amounts of exp however I would recommend unlocking and travelling to bozja for more speedier levelling. Hope this helps people. 👍

I have been grinding solo PoTD for a year now, my pb is floor 190. I love PoTD but I really hope I get my clear soon! My last run I died on floor 188, flighted floor with a treasure room where the exit was, went to rage through it and died to like 4 worm instant auto attacks. 😢 Sometimes the game says "Hahaha, NOPE!"

FINALLY someone who understands that Corps-à-corps is NOT meant to be used while you're already in melee range while you stay there, casting all your vershit like a sitting verduck just for the sake of DPS. This was a great guide, thank you. Keep it up. They all bitch about how Displacement can kill you, but it just means you don't have any space awareness if it happens. The worst it ever did for me was put me close enough to the ledge that the boss' AoE knockback pushed me off. My mistake entirely. I never blamed Displacement for it and still continue and plan to use it. Just be honest, guys, and just admit you prefer to use Engagement on the same CD because it allows you to stay in melee range and act like thoughtless DPS machines, all your META resting on the very principle of hitting with melee as much as you verpossibly can, despite being a verbloody MAGE! All of you perverted Red Mage, making it a magicking melee insyead of a meleeing mage that is supposed to be, but then again, I suppose that's how you think, derailing things from their true purpose to suit your fancy, and then bashing others for not following suite. Higher DPS doesn't make it right or even logical. If someone tells you you'll get higher damage by shooting a gun up the target's nostril, will you stop using it how it was meant to be, from a safer range, or just listen to reason? It's the same. If RDM was meant to fight up close exclusively, it wouldn't have long range spells with so long casting times or movement abilities that can close and open the distance instantly, just Weapon Skills with Elemental damage attached to them.

Watched this video and changed the colour of my Chocobo yesterday for the first time since starting the game (like 2 years ago). Incredibly short and to the point and really helpful. I turned it off and immediately realized I needed it for tanking while pulling mobs. It lets me know if my first AoE hit the entire pack of mobs so I can keep running to the next pack and pull them altogether.

Just subscribed. Your videos are very good and easy to follow. I'm playing for the first time. 60 hrs in which is total noob. I've got two classes to level 36 because I did all the rogue quests to 30 so now I'm ninja. I'm only on msq 28 so have been levelling too much, hence why I switched and started levelling my arcane class. I was even considering a 3rd class, and catching up to the msq, just to keep my level fairly even, otherwise it's pointless getting level 30 gear from the msq when you are 40 for example. I have watched hrs and hrs of videos learning how to play, more time than actual playing lol Are you still playing FF14?
