Great video as always! I love party finder for Mount farms. I’m not super sociable so it’s hard to find people irl to do content with me. It’s also really the only way I could imagine doing FATES. The likelihood of showing up to a high level FATE and having enough people there to actually complete it is next to none without party finder.

Thanks for details! I’ve always used the duty finder to solo dungeons but payed no attention to the other settings. Also, it’s “Sastasha”, not “Satasha” :)

I've taken to using Party Finder to make sure I'm in a group for special FATEs, like Coeurlregina, Odin, Ixion, that kind of thing. I've found that being in a party while completing a FATE is much more likely to get me gold on completion and therefore more of the tokens I need for turn-ins!

If the undersized party is ticked and level is unsynced, we will still get items? But the description said "Defeating enemies will yield no EXP or items". Can you clarify this, please?

Sure, you will not get items that are random drops from basic enemies but you can still get the items from the boss chests. Let me know if that helps.

I totally left that out! One you have you group ready go back to the duty finder. From there you can select and start a duty like normal

This was really helpful thank you! Quick question: in duty finder if I am party leader, how do I pass lead to someone else? We had an instance where the tank went AFK and we needed to replace them but I didn't know how and it held up the run. Luckily everyone was really kind and patient about it.

I think it's to right click on the party member's name and choose promote. I'm not sure how to do it on controller though. I'll need to go into game and verify.

Mainly you don't get XP from the instance. But that's about it.

Can someone please explain how to actually join the instance when leading in party finder? I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find information on that as a new player. Currently losing my mind 😅

Yeah, you queue up for it through the duty finder. So you form the group via the Party Finder then once ready the leader will start the instance via the duty finder. They don't have to hit any special buttons in there.

You should! They are a lot of fun. Just watch a guide before and let your group know that you are new. You will have a great time.

The In-game wording for the " limited leveling roullete" is really bad, it only works if you are in a premade party. Which is the maximum requirements, not the minimum. I know because i only discovered that feature in EW launch since i already had all 80's. And I got Copperbell mines on my level 85 paladin.

It's pretty hard to fine a group for older savage raids. Maybe try to join some looking for group discords.

Short answer I don't. I play for a month or so and when I start getting burnt out I play something else. Currently I'm enjoying Kingdom Hearts and Pokemon. I usually return to FFXIV after a couple weeks.

Oh sorry I thought you meant with FFXIV. Content creation wise, I am not consistent at all. When I first started I would stream on Twitch and then upload the streams here. After a few hundred videos I realized no one really watched them. So I started to make videos over whatever I was currently playing. I tried keeping myself to a schedule for video uploads but it just stressed me out. Now I just work on videos when I feel inspired. This is just a hobby for me so I try not to let it become too much.

For now I only use the party finder to find more scammers to fill up my blacklist. Company for the RMT scammers hanging around New Gridania and Limsa, I want them to be comfortable while waiting for their bans.

You then start whatever duty you like from the Duty Finder. I totally spaced on including that.

@@LucidFaith So do tou have to wait until all the spaces fill, like duty finder. Or can you go when the group wants, even if undersized? Or does the person who recruited the party decide when to go? What kind of wait times? Does the party discus anything, or does it just pop up like a duty finder announcement and you are all in. What if you need to go to work or bed. Do you need to withdraw like duty finder, or do you stay in the party finder when you log off? You said the party stays together after the dungeon unlike duty finder, so does it automatically re-queue you for the same dungeon or do you specifically need to start the queue. What if I wanted to do coils of bahamaut over several nights, can the party stay together for that? If so, what facility for communication between members is there to arrange times and start queuing.etc.

So if you have a premade party, and the undersized group option (unsynced) is checked you go straight in when the leader selects the duty. The games does not fill the extra spots. For the second part of your question, there is not a structured rule of when the party starts the duty. Usually people are friendly and ask if everyone is ready and go from there.
