Currently building a clone of this kit, just completed the 16x10” rack tom from a Ludwig 16x10 tenor drum by adding a bottom row of lugs

Sounds like a harmonizer on his voice during the choruses. Not sure I've ever heard that before.

В начале intro... My woman from Tokio....А Потом Г. Боннета!!!! Который эту вещь делает лучше.... На мой взгляд. Блэкмор- Тёрнер- Гловер- ох уж эти черти..... 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Gillan and mark II absolutely the best. You can tell Jon Lord is not on track. Respect Coverdale and Hughes. It took years for those two to find a voice. Jon Lord predicted this when Gillan resigned. They were a rare ensemble group with Ian Gillan.

Post the “glory days” of Deep Purple Mk.2 in the early 1970s, this is one of the best live performances of “Smoke on the Water” - albeit not “DP” in concert - don’t recall Steve Morse ever coming up with an intro like Ritchie’s in this performance !
