I just bought mine yesterday. What a great pedal! A game changer delay. It did not disappoint running it in stereo, and surprisingly it was way better than I thought running it in mono in my live mono pedal-board set up into the front of my amp. The controls are straightforward, easy to figure out, and easy to use on the fly. Even when you use long repeat delays it never gets muddy or warbled, and the repeats trail off perfectly. Great job on this one Boss!

If I want to replicate 80's sounds like Dokken, do I want an SDE-3 or SDE-3000? I'm building two 4x12 cabinets and just got my Friedman IR-J. Sorry...I'm a newb. Not interested in modern fancy effects....80's rock only.

was gonna sell my SDE-3000D to get this BUT, one drawback, this compact version cannot save presets, soooo, gonna keep the 3000D. Still great new pedal for its size

I did do a pickup upgrade to Fishman Fluence. That being said, the original pickups sounded very nice. Everything else is stock.

The DIG has some options that the SDE-3 does not have, however, the SDE-3 is significantly cheaper. Given that, I would say that the value is equivalent. Also, if you have a pedalboard with other small BOSS pedals, the SDE-3 is the hand's down winner in terms of pedalboard layout.

It would be interesting to hear these two pedals stacked, showing that the "lowly" Boss Compact pedals can be serious ambient treasure-troves. I know you love stacking delays, so your playing would be a perfect showcase for this.

I've owned a DIG and have the SDE-3. For me, the SDE-3 has heaps more musicality. It's magical.
