Thing is. Marvel until Endgame MATTERED. Then suddenly it didn’t and that’s why everyone’s struggling to name the films post-endgame

I still think Galyn Susman as a hero that saved Toy Story 2 because even if they didn't use that version of toy story, they had the *choice* to redoing, like valve with half-life '97. if she didn't save it, they would have just made it thinking how different life would be if it wasn't deleted.

I kept saying I knew that there was a missing song. At the end, when they're all singing to the tune of it, I am like I KNOW THERE IS A SONG MISSING. When Rizzo starts crying, I am like, it has to be that song. I am glad I am not crazy knowing the song exists.

Methinks the animators forget the golden rule. They aren't creating these for inside jokes and concepts only adults might be able to process, but that, Mickey shall ALWAYS be rated "G". AND in Disneyspeak, G stands for "Gateway Drug". G is what makes Disney "Golden". Parents must be comfortable throwing in a Mickey video, and allowing their toddlers to view it unchaperoned. Anything beyond that es no bueno.

New sub.Perfect example of talented people not heading the culture or understanding the brand that built a company. I was there when Eisener,Katzenberg and Wells came in. I said it was a mistake. They should have stayed at Paramount and Warners. I left in 89.Start of the downfall.Surprised that it affected down the line into the animators so soon.Very suspcious Wells accident. When Captain Eo came on board morals rumours started. They deliberately went out of their way to destroy an American institution.

I'd like to see a movie in which a gang of rampaging mice (all looking like "Mickey") invades a home, while the family is away. They chew into bags of flower, shit in them, gobble down macaroni, pee everywhere, etc. But then, the family's felines, napping peacefully, are aroused, and they do what cats do to mice! I'd call the movie, "'Cat and Mouse': The REAL Story!" 😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺 I've always wondered why, in cartoons, affectionate felines, that snuggle next to us, when we sleep, contentedly purr, on our laps, are always portrayed as VILLAINS, while filthy, destructive, VERMIN are considered sweet, innocent, victims?😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺😺

Saying that RL Stein is one of the two greatest horror writers of all time, over HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Clive Barker, James Herbert, Dean Koontz, Shirley Jackson... and probably more that I can't remember right now... Is like saying that Taylor Swift is one of the two greatest rock stars of all time. Just because something is popular, doesn't mean it's the best.

Big mistake to cut this beautiful song. Kids movies always have things in them that resonate more with adults so the adults can enjoy watching with their children and get something from the movie too. The worst thing about cutting this beautiful song is that it makes the finale song, 'The Love We've Found', less impactful. As the new Scrooge celebrates Christmas with the Cratchits and friends, he sings about refinding love to the same melody that Belle had sung about love being lost. This is a powerful statement. In his layer years Scrooge refinds the love he rejected for money in his twenties. He is truly given a second chance and in taking it, he is rewarded by receiving back what he foolishly rejected. Also, during Belle's song, we see twenty-something Scrooge simply walk away from his fiancee while she's pouring out her heart. It shows how callous Scrooge had become. It shows the moment he made the choice for money instead of wife and future family. He had love in his grasp but chose to leave it all behind.

6:34 ... "...keep his image clean..." 🤣🤣🤣 Mickey's clean image has always been ripe for parody! 12:12".. OMG! I have a few pages of personal sketchbooks with exactly that Mickey that I drew as Mickey Godzilla-ing a city (or Disney World or something like that!)! 🤣 15:05 ... animation and comics has always been stigmatized in the US as just being "for kids" wheras in Europe comics ran the gamut from "for kids" to "for adults" with widespread popularity...

Cutting "Love Is Gone" was a mad decision, it's a beautiful song that adds greatly to the emotions of the film. It's by far the best alternative version of the classic Dickensian tale.

Yes, from what you showed, "Runaway Brain" did vibe with the 1990's counterculture. And I didn't like it. All the Renaissance of the 1980's was dying out, and I felt I had no refuge, no culture out there for me. The comic book animated series cushioned me. But they were entertaining not because they were funny or scary. They were dealing with human issues. Mickey had a legacy which uplifts and at the same time hobbles him. There are things he can and can't do. And being a lecherous, murderous maniac is something Mickey is not. At any age. I think Mickey was saved by the bell when Pokemon came out and Pikachu was compared to Mickey. Pikachu was rather part of the Kawaii culture, and I think it could have reminded me anyway that, "Oh! Yes! We've got a cute culturture, too, and Mickey's party of it!" I just can't see Mickey as part of the counterculture age.
