Don’t ever use liquid to cool a weld. It will make the weld brittle.

This was a huge scam. They would rely on people never returning tgem. The people that did. Would get refunded everything but the $20 processing fee.

Diffent ways to start for me I like taping and starting my arch. I don’t like striking like a match, I tap but at the same time lift up when it made constant just a bit and start welding. If it sticks too much it’s too cold turn it a tiny bit up.

If you're in a situation where you have to fabricate, or weld repairs in a vehicle and you have to do it outside, flux core makes more sense for most folks.

something to note is the size of the spool a flux core welder will run. the smaller spools cost more per pound. if you can run a bigger spool, the wire will cost you less over time. for little random things, you'll probably only notice on days that you need to resupply. i like having a spare spool on hand personally. if you want to do other metals, you can get stainless and aluminum sticks for a stick welder. you'll need a dc inverted stick welder for aluminum for sure. i think you can get dc stainless sticks are either. just something to consider that i didn't. i've got 2 welders now, stick and flux core lol. no need for a bottle and i can do whatever i'll grant ya, it's not a pretty tig job but it certainly works.

So after you finish a video do you think to yourself 'why the f@$# did I just do that to my tools!' 😁 One video I think you cut a good looking spirit level in half, another time you put a few random screws in your sheds cross beam - narrowly missing an electrical cable, and in this video you welded 4 Allen keys together 😊 Most people have a few spare Allen keys laying around, but the next time you went to use your spirit level did you regret cutting it in half? 😁

I had a stolen scooter once. Sadly the guy that pinched in has passed away so i can say all i want about it. He was from italy so he knew a few things about hotstarting mopeds. One hed got someone ended up with me. Outran the cops through parks plenty of times on that little moped. Then i decided i was gonna kill myself on it one day so i cut the ignition cable. It then sat for 4 years in the carpark of my flat i live in unitl i finally ditched it in a stormdrain 😅

working in boat repair. Rusty nasty steel with the wind blowing. you could never do it with gas. flux core handles the wind and burns right through the rust. I have even used it to weld up holes that were dripping water. I can do TIG welding too it's not a matter of skills it's a matter of appropriate for the location. I wouldn't use flux core to weld up nuclear certified plumbing.
@petestools16 сағат бұрын
nuclear certified plumbing Yea haven't done that for a while

Depending what your doing gasless (flux core) can be a god send, it's not great but better than arc for certain jobs, especially thinner stuff and hard to reach stuff but can be quite splattery. I made a sidecar chassis using one and abused the sidecar off road etc and all those ugly splattery welds held up. 🤷🏻 Horses for courses and you get what you pay for.

Buy flux core if your home bodging, if u want good welds just listen to any a professional welder..petes great,but not a welder...for home,mild steel etc use ,any c02 will suffice, use old c02 fire extinguishers, or refillable pub bottles ( they gas your beer with it)
