Significant wind, the most obvious variable, and you proceeded with your groups? The money shot would have been a 2nd, 1 hole group with the customer's scope. Left me semi-convinced. Pressure signs on the brass with the highest grain reloads?. Would not be able to sleep until the 1 hole group was repeated with the customers scope and that same ammo

It was interesting to hear you mention the 6mm Rem. I had a 6mm Rem 7.5 twist, built on a long action Remington with a 1.25 30 inch straight tube. It is a very good shooter .3 to .5 at 500yds. You are dead on the mark about no quality brass being available. I've got good results from WW and Remington brass by neck turning them just enough to even them up. Getting all the flash holes and primer pockets the same. With the long action I can load the newer bullets, their just a shade over 3 inchs long and feed from a 30-06 magazine flawlessly, I'm just kind of in love with some of the older cartridges that people are throwing to the side mostly because there isnt any modern rifles made for them. I also had a 22-250 built with a 7 twist to take advantage of the 85.5 bergers and 88 hornadys. Berger sent me load data for it. Anyway thanks for your video Scott

@quarterminutemagnums I Hope That Means Yes? Performance is One Aspect, But Reloading is Entirely Another! I Will Really Be Interested To See How They Solve This Annealing Problem? And, If The Sig Fury Case Design Was Really The Answer - Fusing Steel and Brass Together - Then I Think That Others Would Have Already Adopted That Concept By Now? Is Their "Really Anything New Under The Sun"? 🌞 Probably Not! 👨🔬

OK, on triggers, I was shooting a 1;000 yd team match at Camp Perry. I was using my .308 Palma gun. It was a Paramount with the original trigger. I couldn’t adjust the trigger pull to where I wanted it. It had gotten softer and softer. The Palma team had a gunsmith there and he couldn’t get it any harder either. I was doing good but I had to be very careful or I would set the gun off before I was perfectly aligned with the bullseye. The last round I got excited and touched the trigger too hard before I was ready. I did hit the paper but it was a 6! I shot a 196 overall at 1,000 yds. What was wrong with the trigger is a combination of an extremely strong firing pin spring (supposedly a Jaguar valve spring) and failure to properly heat treat the sear and other internal trigger parts.Actually there was a lot wrong with Paramount company. It went under. The management should have gone to jail! I contacted a supplier in England and he got me a Davis trigger. Made in Austria, I think. This is a terrible trigger! I called Alan Warner for advice. He absolutely refuses to work on Davis triggers. Said he has a bucket full of them. They are no good. It is not a Remington 700 pattern and that is all I know about it. Alan said nobody uses those old Paramounts anymore but I have two of them one is rather special built around the 5.56 NATO cartridge. The.Canadians have contests where their standard military round is required and I only know of two guns like mine in the lower 48 states. There is probably more in Canada. A friend of mine borrowed this gun to compere in the Canadian national matches. He did rather well - for a while. I have won a lot of contest with that gun and it is lovely to shoot. Where can I get a good trigger for it?

People who hate it don't understand it's a hot load 7mm Rem Mag. With a better shape projectile. It's very easy to touch 1,200+ yards 1" grouping with a cheap rifle and scope chambered in 7mm PRC. It's got the magic of the 6.5 Creedmore aerodynamics. That can drop a large buck at 1,250 yards easy. Don't be hating the evolution of cartridges. Don't be a fud.

How come you started out the video with the Bushnell then for most of the video the Kahles was on the rifle? Also, why did you want to change from Retumbo to Staball HD? I've had great success with Retumbo in my 7mm Rem Mag as well as other overbore cartridges.

Think the performance ceiling for 7mm PRC is higher than 7mm Rem Mag. More case capacity will always win out as powder and load developments improve and PRC has more capacity with a seated bullet than 7 Mag.

When mounting your scope, always spread your rings as far away as possible. On top of that, check the torque specks on everything and make sure you follow them. If you pay someone to mount your scope and you watch them and it only takes them 5 minutes to mount it. Politely ask for your gun and scope back and ask for a refund if you already payed. It takes roughly 30-45 min to properly mount a scope. You don’t just slap a set of rings on and tighten screws.

Great video, thank you. My vote is for the XC. I have a Kreiger barreled Rem 700 chambered in it. It's my most accurate rifle, shooting 105 Bergers & Varget. It seems pretty easy on brass, I'm currently on my 8th reloading with only "donuting" noted. Could you comment on the "donut" issue common to the XC case or is that another video in itself? I do not see it as a very big issue as the boat tail bases of the Bergers do not come close to touching that area where neck size is reduced. Thank you.

Having a hard time believing air is being pushed out of the primer pocket at 2:54. Is the muzzle plugged? There is a lot of air the compress in even in a small 243" bore with the last of the case being pushed in. Is there absolutely no taper in that case? Other than that great content.

That sounds great but I'm not buying it. When the brass is literally that snug at 70° perfect humidity, what happens when it's 98° and high humidity or raining out. Now you're going to have excess pressure or heavy bolt when chambering a round or ejecting a round. What you're explaining sounds like it takes a lot of the reloading steps out of the equation which would be amazing, I just have trouble wrapping my head around the perfection of everything you're talking about.

Love your passion for accuracy! Also, i might have missed it in the video... do you measure all of your brass you are going to use in the gun until you find the biggest piece and use that piece to build your reamer around? What I'm asking is how did you determine the right dimensions to make sure all of your brass would fit? Thanks!

“Happened to some.” It happened to me with an over pressure cartridge just as you described. It was in .308, if that matters. The soldering job Remington did looked kind of “frosty” where it joined the bolt handle to the bolt. I thought it was a bad soldering job but maybe not. Remington repaired it for me. That gun now has so many rounds through it that the bolt doesn’t cam back as it is opened due to wear. Yes, I was careful about lubricating it. At least 12,000 rounds. It is on it’s fourth barrel. Shot it across the course for years until I switched to an AR.

You missed the point! Properly? You could do that to many cartridges, like the 300 WSM! The point is factory guns and ammo. Then it becomes Ford v.s. Chevy v.s. Dodge. Or you could come up with your own wildcat. So what, there will always be a way to beat something. Whoopti Do!😅
