I genuinely wondered why they laid all of the memorabilia that is and will be worth a lot of money on the dirty GROUND!!! They should’ve at least rented a store out or at least layed out a sheet on the ground so that they can be protected. Typical MTA, lol.

Hey Suprtoe, I have a video idea for you: Start at Jamaica station, ride the LIRR to Grand Central. At Grand Central, then ride the Metro-North Hudson Line down to Poughkeepsie! At Poughkeepsie, walk down to the Hudson River Walkway. Which actually used to be a rail segment for freight trains. It was abandoned for years, until 2009 when they decided to convert it from rail- to trail. So you could walk along it and see the views of the Hudson from both sides. It actually is very nice to look at.

All I can say is wow. Waiting in a long line to pay ridiculous prices for the MTA's garbage. So basically the MTA doesn't have to pay to recycle their metal waste, instead they are getting paid to recycle it.

Overpriced, I went to the sale the day after thanksgiving at the transit museum, I bought 2 column signs from the Ind 15$ apiece. They were original signs from the 30s installed when the IND was new.
@alski2007 күн бұрын
So the moral of the video is the MTA is really proud of their stuff. That's why they charge so much lmao

Sorry about that. There were so many signs I couldn't get closeups of the prices for everything. Also it was REALLY uncomfortable in the cold cold rain.

with these prices, you would think that they’re trying to fund the budget shortfall with a yard sale.

I wonder who makes up some of those crazy prices for those signs? 🤔 On E-bay, I brought a Willest Point Shea Stadium sign and a 1964 World's Fair subway map. I can't remember how much it was, but it wasn't too expensive
@NurgamingYT7 күн бұрын
The ones on eBay are custom (not directly from MTA) and these ones are directly taken from unused MTA storage I believe

When I reached the front I heard one of the attendants lamenting that everyone wasn't going to be able to get in. It was only supposed to be from 9am-12pm. They did NOT think it would be this popular because it absolutely was NOT this popular last year. Not even close.

Why would the mta scrap the recent signs related to the 63 tubes project 4:26 but this wont happen again for years and the mta making extra money by doing this and this only makes one percent of funds,buy these signs and stuff can help reduce the amount of buses that get scrapped due to old age
