Any treatment that hides the erosion is always going to be troublesome... I think it's why we often use breakwaters and ties (or groins) here in Oz, as we value the beaches so highly; walls and other similar measures provide the protection but you need to forgo any sort of beach with them. It's also why we often have jetties, as they manage the erosion as well as provide boat access.

I wonder if the locomotives use youtube. if they watched this clip, they'd have commented "Cute"

The rails flex too much, which causes the bouncing. You need to either anchor them to an unholy amount of interconnected baseplates (in Germany we use this for high speed rail, "Feste Fahrbahn", by anchoring the rail sleepers in concrete) or you dump them in coarse but fine sand to mimic ordinary ballast.

Please i beg you. stop doing lego toys. You are to smart for this, go change the world! I guess you can say this will inspire engineers. But if you can do this stuff alone, with legos. Imagine what you could do leading a team of engineers into building useful real life machines.(i love all these videos )

Shouldn't the coasters float in the water without the track? :D Cool stuff you make! Thumbs up!
@BuilditwithBricks3 күн бұрын
Thanks! Yes, they do float, but getting them to reconnect to the track was proving tricky, so I kept the underwater 'rail'

use a lubricant on the axles and make sure they are the old metal ones. you could also remove the battery and go full 9v but that removes the spirit of it and also hard to get a big radius with it. add rubber bands for traction on the drive wheels too. its standard lego and the wheels are made for it. you could sink the battery between 2 trucks instead of having it sit above them so it lowers the cog. i was thinking of adding a sail to the top of the loco and the rear of the sail would be weighted and the front would be the only connection to the loco so it will angle itself during the corner and create a force to lean the loco back on the track. or you could do it passivly by making the train a right triangle with the hypotonus being on the outside edge of the track if you can picture that. fun ideas
