Hey I’m just saying, the reason that using a narrowing tube to increase air velocity didn’t really work is because, it’s only feasible when you have pressure to spend. Axial fans like these really produce barely any pressure at all, so the most you are doing is choking it when you built it like that. Cool build though!
@BuilditwithBricksКүн бұрын
Hi thanks for the comment! Completely agree! The turbulence generated from the side walls and narrowing diameter definitely needed more initial pressure - which is why the open ended version worked so much better!

LEGO Leaf Blower aka the LEGO rabbit slicer!🤭 That's impressive blowing power, man! Did you test it without the liftarms mounted to the track pieces? Would it just slip or why the effort?
@BuilditwithBricksКүн бұрын
Yeah a lot of slip - especially on the heavier blower unit. Plus it looked better proportioned!

Is it an idea to use venturi to have more air out the nozzle?
@TimmyGCКүн бұрын
Sort of. It does two things. 1) it does increase air speed (which also means that as it leaves the nozzle, it pulls along some more air from around the nozzle), but 2) it also directs it closer to the leaves. By using a nozzle, the fan and motor and such can be at your hand for easy mobility, while still directing the air right above the leaves. It's the difference between holding a chainsaw by the handle or at the end of a pole. The nozzle allows the air to blow directly above the leaves without putting the fan itself directly above the leaves. In this, the fan is right up against the leaves, so that second part doesn't matter. His nozzle was effectively useless. The first part (what you mentioned) still applies, but surface resistance turned it from a benefit to a drawback.

Where do you get those fan blades from? I have been searching but never found them...

Great question! They are from the LEGO 9688 Renewable Energy Set!

The fake building noises can be kinda annoying, could you just use the real building noises?

Thanks for the comment! Each of those clicks is an actual recorded clicking together of LEGO pieces. They aren’t fake. They are recorded by myself. Thanks for watching!
