Thank you for this video. I'm sitting here with almost the same pile of bearings, pulleys, arbors, etc. I wasn't certain that 1/2" diameter parts would work on a decent sized lathe. You gave me the inspiration to give it a shot. Thanks again!

Question, once you build this, is it easy to take apart for storage in an apartment? I’m looking for something I can store in an apartment but take to the lake or river.

I would say no, it is too heavy for that

I've been waiting to get one but I didn't know you have to go get a title for it...... new jersey is a pain. How do I go about that if buying from harbor freight?
@RayMAKES21 күн бұрын
They will give you a certificate of origin, then you take that to the dmv to get a title

I need two wheels that can use tires for a car, About 245/50/18's. But I need to mount hub motors in them. I'm making a three wheeler with two wheels in the front and one in the back. It will be front wheel drive.

I am a Machinist and I loved this video, I have just inherited my grandfathers lathe which is overhead belt driven so this was cool to see. However one point I would like to mention is that when he said the lathes were 4 speeds, I don't think that is technically true. Most lathes from that era were back geared, which means a lathe that appears to be 4 speed is actually 8 speed.

Pretty decent video overall if you ignore all the crying over stupid/little issues, most caused by yourself. Also, don't put pins in tongue and you can fold it down when you flipped trailer over, and wouldn't have issue with beam above you.
