The case for Christ is that part of the human mind and heart in which dreams can flourish and be believed. He is a character in a play, not a real person. Such a character can live forever but all who are wise will know that it is just a play. He lives in the way that Hollywood characters live, in the mind not in the real world of time and space. He was not born of a virgin, he never performed miracles, he never rose from the grave after his crucifixion. How anyone can believe in him as the real savior of the world is in need of a good dose of reality!

if i got to see a supernatural occurence like seeing somebody die, genuinely seeing that they were dead.... and then seeing them walk around days later i would probably believe. However, I obviously didnt see this myself, and it goes against every thing i know about reality, so the idea that ancient eyewitness accounts should be sufficient for me is unacceptable. I have no way of knowing anything about the ''500 people'' that were claimed to have seen him, were they real just because the bible says so? were they credible or trustworthy, i have no way of knowing who exactly the apostles really were or what their motivation were. It's always strange to me that the ''best'' evidence for the christian God are ancient stories involving other humans getting to see these things for themselves first hand, yet the idea that after reading the stories yourself, immediately asking ''well hold on,why can't i get the same standard of evidence'' is supposed to be this arrogant and unreasonable thing to request. why? if it was good enough for those people then why can't we have the same standard of evidence. If God can give500 people first hand evidence of his existence, then he can give it to all humans.

Probably my favorite section of scripture is the one he mentioned here. I can’t read it without getting teary. “Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was doing? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.” John 13:3-5, 12-15 NLT

In 2001, beneath the eyes of the observers, I read 2 magazines with information about calorie requirements for women at 280 James Street, where there were no window shades. There was complete transparency. You did not need the Patriot Act. What is an addiction again? Initiative, tenacity, eating, hoarding, or ideological adherence? Dr. Blimp Key, I mean Dr. Lembke, spoke about when an addiction makes life unmanageable. Those conducting surveillance looked for what they wanted to see. They were not keen observers. There was complete transparency.

How is it that this guy doesn't know that demons are NOT fallen angels? They are the disembodied spirits of the nephilim that are doomed to roam the earth.

Unfortunately most Protestants believe that once you’re saved you’re always saved and you can not become demonically possessed. They never speak about the demonic issues one may have. In fact in our experience they blow you off and tell you to pray. One pastor even said one is looking for the devil around every corner. Praise God we were brought to the true faith and we don’t feel crazy anymore. We are learning, growing and understanding more of the truth.

Lets all assume Jesus rose from the dead. How does that make him worthy of our worship? If I died and came back. would you worship me? Probably not. Im just a simple man. What if I proved to you that I created the world’s? Would you worship me then? Perhaps. but I could be an alien that only wants to toy with my creations. Neither my supernatural nature, nor my authorship of infinite galaxies guarantees that I have any good in mind for you. What if I prove that I can give you a better life? OK now you’re listening. What If I tell you that in order to receive this supernatural life, you have to surrender your will to me and relinquish everything you have to my control. OK, this is a little scary. Seems like a bit of a dictatorship. But seeing as you may not care much for the way your life is now you say. “what the hell” “let’s do it” “what have I got to lose” But before you make that decision I give you an ultimatum. either you bow down to me, worship me. Give me your life. Your love,You’re heart your mind, your body, your soul and all that you have or I will torture you endlessly even beyond the grave. How does that speak to my character? Can you trust me to make good on my promises? Do you even want my blessings anymore?

The author talks about time. God told Moses that His name was “I am that I am”. When Moses said who shall I say sent me God said “Tell them I am sent you”. There are not two dimensions of time but an infinite number of dimensions of time; but really there’s only one time. That time is the eternal present. God is nowhere else but here with us as we experience life. He is omniPRESENT. Here and now is where we worship God. To not be worldly and consider worldly things we can kill that tendency by remaining in the present and allowing that God will take care of everything. That can only happen by abiding deeply and profoundly in the present. (Action takes place in the present). There are others on this planet who have achieved this. We can do it too. We can worship God as we truly live. The only time that the past and the future exist is when we consider them in the present moment!

He still thinks Jesus is God. And he still prays to Mary and Jesus. He is as fallen as they come. No one says and then I met god. I met Jesus but if Jesus is god why does Jesus call someone else god and he sits at the right hand of god.

Yes, Jesus is the Word made Flesh, God Incarnate Read the first chapter of the Gospel of John. Jesus also said He is the YHWH (I AM). Pray means "to ask, to petition". We ask Blessed Mother Mary to pray for us. Catholics and Orthodox have the highest worship of God through Jesus Christ in the Mass. God is: Father, Son (The Word/Jesus), and Holy Spirit. One God, not 3 separate "gods".

What about all the books that they took out of the bible and they didn't want people to know
@c.Ichthys9 күн бұрын
Yes, unfortunate that Jewish scribes did that when they made their altered Masoretic Text (aka Hebrew bible) in 10th century *AD* also missing some chapters of Daniel and Esther. The Protestants rejected the complete OT canon (Septuagint that Jesus, His Apostles and all Christians used) and replaced it with the reduced, altered Masoretic Text.

Time belongs to God, thats true .but what about seers? The bible talks about seers? What us a seer?
@c.Ichthys9 күн бұрын
A seer is someone who uses the demons to tell the future and those who go to seers (psychics/mediums) allow the demons to control certain aspects of their lives. It's a grave sin and they have rejected God's providence.

Much like the previous commenter I also am not a Catholic. Even if to many, the idea of demon possession is not legitimate he explains it such a way and in light of his own experience in a remarkable down to earth way. Apart from his explanation of demon possession which I concurr with, his comment that evil cannot be present when the light of the Holy Spirit is also present is very enriching and comforting. We take for granted, yahweh's help in our lives everyone's lives, but without this normal spiritual intervention I believe that there would be many, many more people who would experience even in a small way a glimpse into an eventual excruciating separation from the one who has made you.

I grew up Catholic but I am confused about the education of priests, where is the conformity in the teaching? Why is there so much dissension. Is it because of the apostasy of the papacy.
