One pro tip that I noticed you followed but didn't explicitly say: Give the primer on the PVC a good 10 seconds to dry out before adding the glue.

@SIMPLEARKANSAN use the 99 carb specs. I went thru a few jet sizes but they are roughly the same as the 99. The white carbs were way too lean so I basically turned them into 99 carbs. Sea Doo PWC Carburetor Reference search.app/5N47R6irCmbtkcuR6

Good breaking out but you just made and S trap and if it ever backs up you have so many turns to clear it out. You should have rolled two 45’s to make the offset.
@jonparkmac24 күн бұрын
No it's not an S trap. For one ..it's not horizontal and second, there's not any opposing curvature. You can actually see all the way thru the 2 bends if looking at the right angle. It's up, short left jibe, then up. No trap. An S trap is when water actually gets locked into the "belly" half. But it is a good point and what I did isnt great. The 45s would have been the solution.

@@jonparkmac does it drain good? Where I’m from here in Texas maybe different strokes for different folks, but my inspector would’ve laughed at me and told me to cut that shit out. Yeah, it flushes very well, best out of all 5 in the house for some reason. Been several years with daily use and not a single issue. @jonparkmac wet moist blankets just laying on top?
@jonparkmac29 күн бұрын
Yeah, but in this small of an area are, a bath towel would work. If you can't slow down the curing it's not a huge issue .. you just don't want it drying out immediately if you can avoid it. So letting it set up for a bit, and laying a wet towel over it and just leave it. Better than nothing.

@jonparkmac one last question is this blue moisture paper the same that you place under wood or vinyl flooring?
@jonparkmac29 күн бұрын
No, that stuff is not quite as vapor proof. I used plain plastic like what was there already. Its arguably overkill here ..but they add vapor barriers to prevent vapor and dampness from permeating the room. If you don't see it when you make the hole, don't add it. Kinda put back like it was. It's a good question and thanks for asking these

However upon opening the TV it became clear that the four posts on the plastic back that hold the screws that go into the speaker housings were broken off. Superglue was no solution as they broke again when the back panel was screwed down. I finally used double side taoe. Buzzing gone ! Let's see how many more years the TV will last.

@@jonparkmac Okay, thanks. But how can I take out the circuit board from the plastic tube, what you keep in your hand. (2:05)
@jonparkmacАй бұрын
@MrEmbertars they are not meant to be disassembled. The one I have is from one I ruined and cut it open. Are you sure it's one of the reeds and not the F1 fuse? If you get infinite resistance then it's the F1 fuse, which is the common case. That can be bypassed by cutting a small window into the side and soldering a jump wire across the fuse. That's how I ruined one lol ..I cut the window in the wrong spot.
@MrEmbertarsАй бұрын
@@jonparkmac Ohh, I understood. No, the fuse is okay. I have the problem with the board. The upper signs shows good level, but on the down half the multimeter doesn't show resistance.

Yeah that's interesting and agree it sounds like problem in a reed. I know of one guy that removed it and he said he removed the melted black potting that seals the top. Not sure how ..maybe a heat gun and dig into it. It can be done, just a lot of work.

So, did you take the primer off once fuel was primed? My 951 is not receiving fuel.
@jonparkmac9 күн бұрын
Primer stays always. Used in place of a choke for cold starts. If your not pulling fuel your carb pump isn't working, usually leaking diagram or pulse line. Test by putting carb intake hose in can of gas and see if it draws it. If it does then you have a leak or blockage in the fuel delivery

I’ll make sure not to get them backwards
@jonparkmacАй бұрын
It's mostly about the PCV being backwards if your kit comes with one or you replace it. I should have explained that better
@wraithmedaberry5795Ай бұрын
I bought an svt focus with this exact setup and it was doing literally nothing. Usually you run line in from pcv valve and line out to valve cover. Block the intake port off.
@jonparkmacАй бұрын
Interesting, that's backwards. The line in should be from the crank case which comes through the valve cover. The out is to the intake. The flow is from the CC to the intake manifold in all engines with PCV. So the Can is just an interceptor ..no blocking off any ports. Maybe that's why the focus didn't work lol. Seriously though, if this thing doesn't catch in a year, I may take it off.

Did you ever try to measure crankcase pressure before catch can and after installing catch can? Do you think it's a good idea to install Ketchikan after that?
@jonparkmacАй бұрын
A catch can will not change CC pressure and CC pressure is not something good anyway. Any pressure leads to gaskets leaking etc.. The intake is actually drawing vacuum on the PCV fitting and CC doesn't change that.

Very nice, helped me find a decent spot for a bilge pump and an idea on where to place the thur hull in my GTX. One thing I would add, that I love on my boat, is a Water Witch float switch, the best float switch you can buy. They’re small and can be attached to the hose. Replace the rocker switch with a 3 way (ON-OFF-AUTO) that way when you go out and if water gets in the bilge, the WW senses water and kicks on the pump, then turns off 30 seconds after the water is evacuated. Another thing I added inline was a high water alarm so you know water is in there, gives you that extra time to figure out what’s happening.
