thanks for all the videos. very helpful. I have 2, 99 gtx limited. On one of them the positive cable on the starter, the rubber boot was melted a little. what do you think the culprit would be? They both have had a full work through, new lines, carb rebuild, sprak plugs, flushed cleaned tanks etc. The engine is the only thing not rebuilt

Could have been a previously shorted starter, someone accidentally touched it to the engine, or it may be rubbed down from touching the pto

Ok thanks. By chance at all do you know how to wire up an external voltage rectifier to bypass the MPEM? Any info would be amazing. I ordered 6 pins and the rectifier just confused on which wires go where 😊

I don't know ..but the full wiring diagram is in the manual ..and osdmarine sells a kit that hooks into loom/harness

@@jonparkmac I downloaded the manual, but I don’t see it in the manual that I downloaded. Unless it’s a different manual? The kit that you are referring to they are not selling right now. There’s not an option to buy it so I didn’t know if by chance you knew how to do that or not

It's broken in and runs. But having trouble tunning it. When it does open up its like a rocket. I have a gremlin in it somewhere. I've started on 96 GSX now. I'll return back to the GG this fall
