fax mentis incendium gloria culpum But the miles, they never seem to end As if you're in a dream, not getting anywhere It seems so futile Run, on and on The line is getting nearer But do you want the glory that goes? You reach the final stretch, ideals are just a trace You feel like throwing the race It's all so futile

Loved Jerry of course, however, John Meyer adds something Jerry would give his total approval.

I had a Friend who passed. We were in the service together. Great guy. He bought his dream car when he retired, and then he passed away with nary a sign. I tried the Dead out because of him. Soul therapy. RIP Steve aka Rigger Daddy.

The ONLY silver lining about Phil Lesh passing is that so many people spent as much time discussing what a groundbreaking musician he was and how he changed bass playing forever. He was always my favorite because of his musical gifts, quirks, and kindness. Back in 2005 I got an Acura TL that had a great tight bass and the next 6 years as I drove to and from work I got to hear his genius more clearly than I'd ever heard it before - even in concert. I don't miss commuting but I LOVED that part of it.

I don’t speak English but when I listened Dead for the first time in 1994 , they are from different world . Since then I became a Deadhead. Love and peace!

Years ago I woke up out of deep sleep in the middle of the night, and randomly began thinking about Jerry Garcia. I wasn't a big fan right then, but had respect. I thought about how he'd chosen his own path and did what he wanted to do, how amazing his talent was, how he had honed his skill for countless hours, how the Dead had not cared very much about getting their records into the mainstream and how that played out for them, how free I felt when I saw the Dead and Bob Dlyan once, how the Dead Heads also left the mainstream and followed their dreams and about how that played out for them good and bad, about his heavy drug use, about how the Dead had impacted my own family, (my cousin was a Dead Head and died young of an overdose- 😭), and how fantastic the music was/is. It was so random that I would ponder this for as long as I did. Jerry had passed right then, found out in the morning. It's been a long, strange trip Jerry, peace and love.

One of my all time favs, along with Syracuse 84, NJ 87 and Cal Expo 90. Its not just phil’s bombs, but Jerry’s tone kicking off the solo that is so unique and high octane, love it!
