I used a pair of fast forward replicas on my rim break road bike for almost a year (~6000km) with no issues. the only thing I noticed that the decals are coming off after certain warm-cold-wetness, and after rain or washing them some water gets stuck inside the profile and it has no holes near the breaking surface that can let the water out, and yeah, the breaking surface became shiny at the 1st descent and test breakings. I won't say they are the best wheels, but I will chose them again if I had to start again with rim break road bike. Now I'm looking forward to buy a set of carbon wheels from aliexpress for my new disc breaks road bike, and I am still figuring out which looks better, matthe mavic cosmic with withe logo or glossy ffwd with red/withe logo.

I bought this bike after much research in the most bag for the budget. It's so hard to find legit specs on the stock components, I've been using the Mongoose Guide specs for most of upgrades. It blows my mind that Mongoose is selling the Guide (basically a 2x8 version of the Grit with all the same components) for $1,100 mrsp. Your bike is the version I would expect with a $1,100 price tag. My first upgrade has been the seat and crankset. I had ridden like 30miles and had clicking in the BB. I hate that the wheels are a freewheel so you can't just buy a new cassette/rightshifter to put more gears on. A wheelset and groupset will be my next upgrade. Great video!

I just built a bike with all parts bought off aliexpress besides the frame. As far as quality I feel like their clones rival the real thing in many cases. I collect knives as well, and I've bought at least 20 knife clones. Some of the otf automatic knives I own the real thing and the clone, and they are indistinguishable. I've got two of them that I'm honestly not sure which is the clone and which isn't. The bike parts are really good quality for price. If you pay the 3 dollars a month for mvp, you get 24 hr a day customer service along with monthly coupons with 3 or 4 times it's cost. If you use discernment, you can see which listing to avoid pretty easily. The only issue I've had customer service accepted my return no questions asked. It was honestly easier than an Amazon return. They seem to be really trying to step up their game and build a better reputation. Edit: Just ordered a dirt jump frame from Aliexpress today. A "boarse" frame that has integrated adjustable rear dropouts for 200. I'll report back when I get it and build it out. With the price of dirt jump bikes pretty much all above a thousand, if I can build one under 500 bucks and pick all the parts myself, I'm happy.
