Hei hei! I bought both the courses while they were on Kickstarter the first time. Since the courses come with a multitude of rigs already, is there a way to easily check which rigs has to be bought via the asset store? Like for example the the rifle rig (I think I didn‘t saw that rig in the courses)? Keep up the good work. You and your team are pushing blender animation real hard and I like it. 🎉
@BrianKouhi2 күн бұрын
Hey, you can check both the Blender Basics and animation course curriculum's "Downloadable Assets" sections to see the available rigs. Majority of the rigs on the store should be available to you as a student. One of the few that isn't available for students is the Assault Rifle Rig. Cheers!

Hey, not sure how to answer that question. Could you explain what you mean by "what kind of rig"? Are you asking what program the rigs are for? are you asking what the rigging process was for... the props? the characters? or are you asking something else?

The problem with a lot of rigs I buy, is that it usually doesn’t come with pickers. I so prefer having bone pickers to animate with. And most of the time, i have to custom make pickers to the rigs i buy because they don’t usually have it. I hope this market place also includes pickers for the rigs, because I really just want to start animating.
@BrianKouhi17 күн бұрын
Though having a picker with pre-made selection sets is handy, it's not a necessity for animation. We have developed a picker for Blender, which our animation students currently have access to and are testing it. Our students also get a pre-made picker for the characters as well as a pose library of different facial expressions and hand gestures. We'll be releasing the picker to the public for free in the near future, but our asset store rigs won't come with custom made pickers at this time.

This is extremely helpful. I have a hard time timing animation. I tend to reference sounds instead of video images like drum kicks and snares because it just makes more sense to my brain.

May I know what the final product will be? Will it be a reel similar to the one shown here?
@BrianKouhi22 күн бұрын
The final product of the TOAnimate Ultimate Animation course will be a personalized demo reel featuring the animations you create throughout the course. While it may not be identical to the reel shown on the site, you'll work on projects and exercises that give you a strong animation foundation, allowing you to animate any shot in any setting, not just the cinematic you saw.
@bilosofie23 күн бұрын
yo man .. i remember that you guys mentioned that you will create a picker .. what happened to that ?? 😅
@BrianKouhi22 күн бұрын
Hey, our TOAnimate Academy students have had access to the Picker for some months now and are doing testing. After the launch of our "Blender Marketplace for Animators" on Oct 14th, the public release of the picker will be higher on our priority list. We may release it before the year ends.
