The flat plane V8 sounds fantastic! Would really prefer much more engine soundtrack and much less music soundtrack.

@@AaronsEccentricGarage yes a bit, but after a certain year, TVR ran out of 4.2 bottom ends, so they fitted 4.5 bottom ends to all 4.2 spec cars. This means that the car is very smooth with no hesitation through the rev range :) the 4.2 induction system is a better design than the 4.5

We've become such wimps. It's really not that long ago that no cars had cruise control. We still drove long distances without suffering back pain. I drove from Sydney to Perth (about 2500 miles) in two days and then back without cruise control. Or back pain.

Hey Aaron, great video. Do you know if it's possible to have the system reduce force when hitting a hard expansion joint or pothole? Like Koni Special Actives do? I'm worried what the increasing force with speed would do in these events.
@AaronsEccentricGarage3 ай бұрын
@matsudakodo some sets allow you to have 8 motors rather than 4. The additional 4 adjust rebound while the others adjust dampening

any difference you feel before and after? does it worth to get the autoexe chassis bracing on top of this one?
@AaronsEccentricGarage3 ай бұрын
@@jaypop-n3s it's a noticeable feel in the rear end. I have various braces from different brands that essentially match the AUTOEXE kit. If you don't have any right now, I'd say go for it! If you do not have the rear subframe mounts welded in from the factory, you'll need to buy the adapter kit from jp3... just not the actual brace... just the mounts

is it similar for Tuscan?
@AaronsEccentricGarage4 ай бұрын
@CiccioMela in some ways, yes. In many others, nope. V8 vs i6, 2+2 vs 2-seater, coupe vs targa. Not to mention styling. But both are lightweight, powerful, rare, hand built sports cars with no driver aids like ABS, Traction control, or even airbags. But they both have something very much in common... raw driving experience unlike anything else.

As a huge fan of TVR and also being Canadian, I have only seen 2 TVRs in real life. Both on the bed of a flatbed truck. The Cerbera was not one of them , but remains my favourite car of all time. One day I hope to drive or own one.

Getting parts is going to be a nightmare
@AaronsEccentricGarage5 ай бұрын
@BlatentlyFakeName not really! Aside from the proprietary parts, TVR was notorious for using off the shelf bits. IE the altenator came off a 95 Land Rover Discovery. The brakes are made by AP Racing. Things that are proprietary to the car, are readily available in the UK, but take a couple weeks to arrive. The most difficult pieces to obtain: front and rear window glass. Can't get those in the USA. Hagerty said for me to order it from the UK and they'll reimburse me the cost. 🤔

Going back to its roots (kind of!) as the Rover V8 engine in that TVR is based on a Buick 215 V8 from the 1950’s! So it’s a British sports car with American muscle under the hood in a way!

Saw a TVR for sale from Canada that had left hand drive and wonder why people importing them to the U.S. ordered them instead of RHD?
@AaronsEccentricGarage6 ай бұрын
There's only about 4 LHD versions out there. They were built by a company in Austria. TVR neve never made a LHD cerbera from the factory. The pedal box on the left/passenger side is rather small and those who have those cars usually have to drive with racing shoes or barefoot.
