001 | CLIMBING THE HIGHEST ACTIVE VOLCANO IN JAVA (MT SEMERU)

We had a long weekend this May so we decided to have a bit of a volcanic adventure and climb the highest summit in East Java, Mt Semeru. This was probably one of the hardest climbs I have ever done, but the views at the summit were well worth it.

FYI for those who want to go hike this mountain and want to take some footage and carry drone. Flying drone around Mt. Semeru is prohibited unless you have permit to fly it (of course it's so expensive to get the permit). If you get caught by the mountain guard and don't have any permit, you will get the consequences.

Ah, thanks a lot for this beautiful work! I hike this mount three times but never get bored. Wanna come and come again. My recommendation after this pandemy is over, try to hike mount argopuro, the longest mountain track in java. You will find the magical schenery and animals. It has a lot of savannah, a misty lake. For the animal, at least you will find some peacocks, siamang (black macaque), and wild boar. If you lucky enough, you will find the javan leopard. The most mountain track that i love in east java!

hi you should try to climb Mount Kerinci in Sumatra because it is the highest volcano in Asia 3805 mdpl but also have to be careful because there are still many Sumatran tigers 🐯🐅 😂🇲🇨

I've seen 2 tigers not too far away from Kayuaro. I think they're a couple. Luckily they were far enough and didnt see us around. Btw, the tallest volcanic mountain in Asia is Mt. Damavand in Iran

Bruh, i recomend u to hiking Mt. Argopuro. It tooks 3-4 hours from Ranupane (Mt. Semeru) to Argopuro's Basecamp (Baderan-Situbondo City). The landscapes're so fuckin' awesome, better than Semeru i thought. It tooks 4-5 days to hiking Mt. Argopuro. U'll find lots of peacocks along the hiking trail (If u lucky, u'll see leopard, wild boar and deer). There is also not too crowded like Mt. Semeru. Probably u'll only meet 5-6 teams. Trust me, u would love it.

right, drone is not allowed around Mt. Semeru to prevent any surveilance on an empty space for profit, unless you have permit to fly a drone (and of course to get permit you have to pay expensively)
