Which classic Bond Car would you want to take for a drive?

Me personally: BMW Z8 2CV Lotus Esprit Mercedes 600 (W100) any of the Rolls-Royce Toyota 2000GT (i just checked the list of cars 007 used in all of the films, and these arethose i would like to drive once and i doubt ever get a chance to do so for reasons...)

Hope you all enjoy this - what a fun day it was. The DB5 stunt car was utterly glorious; seriously quick, really oversteery (in a fun, classic car way) and with a sound that you would never get bored of. Much as I admire the original, the stunt car is the one I'd have.

I was driven down to a Spanish marina in one of Bond cars (with the sat nav screens) when I was much much younger, the owner was an investment banker husband of my mum's colleagues (this DB5 was one of his holiday cars, kept abroad permanently). Sure, the lack of headrests (sounds weird to say, but really is one of the main things i remember) meant my brother could poke me in the head, but it really didn't matter: The car i was in was unimaginably special, and given that i was fairly young at the time as much as i loved it i wish I could have appreciated it more. Honestly ever since that day I have really struggled to come to terms with the fact that I will never get to another point in my life equal to those 20 minutes. I thought as I got older I would get over it more, but I genuinely am genuinely getting more and more unsatisfied with my life knowing that i will never experience that moment again. To my knowledge, he sold that car a few years back since it really needed some TLC that he wasn't prepared to get done himself, replaced with a Dino as of at least 2019 (presumably still owns that since Covid would have prevented him going to the car between 2020 and sometime during 2021).

Since age eight in '64 seeing Goldfinger with my parents I've been enamored of _this_ car. My younger brother, my parents and I saw the movie car at the World's Fair in NYC. That DB5 still could never be beat for my #1 favorite Bond car of All-time. Aston Martins have always been extremely well made. While in reality, it usually wasn't as fast accelerating as a Corvette, or the best of Porsches and Jaguars, it would make up for it will extra-fine quality and superior fit & finish. There have been few acceleration tests where the DB5s reached their potential with 0-60 mph in under 6 seconds. But there were also a lot of tests where they weren't much of sprinters and took the mid-8second range to do 0-60, probably because the wheels spun excessively costing them at least 2 full seconds. Well perhaps that could be fixed with a right set of tires. My dad has now collected his first Aston Martin, a 2007 Vantage V8 with a manual transmission. He says it's even more well made than a Mercedes Benz. I got a chance to drive it once and I can agree with him.
