Cool deal. It sounds good! It will help more to have the larger pipe before the muffler because the muffler cools and air becomes more dense so then after the muffler you will see a smaller diameter pipe many times. Only like 1/8”-1/4” smaller.

Unique sound. She doesn’t sound like a Cummins in person to me. Got one the other day. Maybe a smooth diesel, but pleasing to the ear and not clattery. It sounds like a v10 to me. Unique. Like most v10’s sound. Closest thing to a similar sound heavy on the throttle I suppose is an inline 5.

@shawnedwards27003 жыл бұрын
I don't mind at all!😂 As for the wheel size you could go any size you want but I run the factory 16s. With a 6 inch lift 37 inch tires would look the best but 35s would perform better on the road and hill climbing. I'd stick to an All terrain or Mud Terrian. Highway tires spin way too easily.

I currently own a 2000 ram 2500 v10 and an 07 fi50 5.8 triton and I can tell you triton motors are shit in every aspect of their engineering. Timing issues, no power period, hard to work on and ford trucks themselves in my opinion are worthless if you want to do anything you'd need a truck to do. I'm so disappointed in ford, I had such high hoped for that truck and one thing after another it keeps letting me down and leaving me regretting ever buying it. So much in fact I'd rather give it away than have to deal with doing all the shit it needs to have done just to make it salesworthy and leave me not feeling like a piece of shit for passing it on to the next guy. I drove the wheels off my Silverado with nearly 400,000 miles before the frame finally rusted through and broke right behind the front passenger wheel well and I had to scrap it. Still have the vortec and tranny on pallets waiting for a sweet Vega or something to come along that I can stuff it into seeing as it still ran like a raped ape. And my v10 dodge is the living definition of what an American made truck should be in almost every way. Don't by a ford truck man you'll regret it.

wen you took smog pump off did it change any thing i wanna get a procharger or super charger and that looks like a good spot to put a procharger
@shawnedwards27007 жыл бұрын
wild boy22 it didn't change a thing. I had to get a shorter 7 groove belt and rotate the tensioner which involves taking it off and using a small burr and drill to set where I wanted it to be. it was a little complicated but obviously possible. The smog pump has no wires connecting to it. Its a stand alone pump so no check engine lights or anything. the pulley on the tensioner had to be switched out from a smooth to a grooved one. the pulley is reverse threads to remove it. Once the tensioner is off you'll see a small nipple and place it sat in. make a new hole at the very top between the two read spaces and reinstall. the belt is AutoZone and part number is 6pk2565. email me if you need help. edwards81490@gmail.com

Marshall Streett They are SRS headers. Cost me a little over 200 off eBay. Intermediate pipe is stock 2.25 which now joins at a y pipe that makes it a single 3 inch out t9 the muffler. I have an Aero Turbine muffler 1 foot before the rear axle. After the muffler it's a 3 to 4 inch adapter then 4 inch straight pipe up and over the axle out the back passenger side to a 5 inch tip. How did you bypass the smog?
@shawnedwards27007 жыл бұрын
FugateHasCamo Just remove the entire thing. The entire smog pump. Then use a y pipe to delete the cats. Catalytic converters ruin the V10 anyway. Back pressure is not your friend. Get a shorter belt. A 102.3 inch Chevy belt. You can actually ask for that at a parts store. Remove the tensioner. There is a nipple on the back...you wanna find where it was inserted on the front of the engine. Now take a small burr and drill the bracket it used to be on. Not to deep. Take your time. 12 o clock is where it needs to be. Reinsert your nipple on the back of the tensioner into that new hole you made. At the very top (Between the two larger holes you will see they are about an inch wide). You don't need to be that wide on your new hole. Just enough for that nipple on the back of tensioner to go in between those. After that install your belt. Don't forget that the bolt for the tensioner is reverse threads. Now you have a shorter belt and less drag on the belt. Makes for quicker revs. Like taking of the a.c. pump.

@shawnedwards27004 жыл бұрын
The radiator is very efficient in size and flow. The OEM material is usually copper. I find that's only good for a heater core. Anyway I have no issues with Aluminum one I purchased at my local Advanced Auto Parts. With the proper 50/50 coolant and capacity along with a bottle of VP Racing coolant it'll never overheat. All things considered along with your coolant system not having any leaks at the head gasket or a failing water pump it'll never over heat.

well, ignore what I just said, I double checked and I only have the intermediate pipe O2 sensors. I could have sworn I had CAT o2s. I've installed a second battery where you have your primary mounted so I cannot get a K&N kit, so it becomes a bit more difficult
@shawnedwards27007 жыл бұрын
HardCoreVG I use a 3 inch Aero Turbine Muffler. It uses reverse suction to help pull the exhaust out. it creates a vacuum at higher rpms. Why 4” it’s not a diesel so to much flow your killing power, and why a muffler you don’t want back pressure you want scavenging
@shawnedwards27006 жыл бұрын
I totally hear ya man. However my 4" starts right before the rear axle. So its more or less for a deeper sound and better look out the rear than the usual tiny pipe a gasser normally gets. My current setup is shorty headers manifold for all the torque I can get, then 2.5 inch till it y pipes. After the y pipe it becomes 3 inch to exactly scavenge both exhaust sides evenly. My muffler really isn't a muffler. The Aero Turbine is straight through design and creates a pulling force (vacuum) on my exhaust in the higher rpms helping it evacuate into the 4 inch right before the rear axle. It's BETTER than a diesel exhaust by far. Thanks for the criticism though.
