It's great that you mentioned ways of resetting the 3D cursor ball. I've clumsily moved it with shift + right click too many times without knowing what it was or how to properly put it back.

if you want to make the sketch in photoshop but don't have a tablet just create a new layer and use pen tool to create a path after creating you need to right click and click on stroke path to make desired stroke. its quite handy for mouse users

I personally use the default cube to line up my referances at the proper height. For example, if the character is 142.8 cm, the referance will be 142.8 cm from foot to top of head. Prevents issues from having 2 assets in the wrong scale. That said, I am nowhere near skilled enough to give any more advice on 3d modeling and if you are the only one to use an asset there is nothing wrong with a skewed but consistant scale. Honestly this advice was born from more experianced modelers complaining about assets on the internet being too big or too small to use without a major rework.
@land30212 жыл бұрын
3:38 Gotta say, tracing the outlines of characters, for me anyways, has been particularly difficult, since the shape of the head is... not how I would've expected it to be, as I almost instinctively try to draw a bulge in the head shape by the top of the ears...

I dont know if its just me, but it feels like theres something missing between hitting the pivot key, choosing the 3d option, and then getting the rotate thing you got on yours. When I try it myself, nothing happens after it changes from Median Point to 3D Cursor and didnt see any button clicking on video for it.
@einchina2 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen any buttons, too. Anyways, you can change your pivot point using the menu on the top or pressing the period button: . (not the numeric keypad)
