022421 MONTGOMERY COUNTY DOUBLE FATAL CRASH

Just after 9 pm, Montgomery County 911 took a call reference a single-vehicle crash on the Mount Mariah bridge about one-half mile west of FM 1486 in far northwest Montgomery County. Montgomery Fire responded along with MCHD and St. Joseph EMS. Units arrived on the scene to find Hyundai Sonata with heavy damage at the end of the bridge. Two persons were ejected another was in serious condition and a female was out of the vehicle with no serious injuries. Crews immediately determined on the victim was in cardiac arrest and started CPR. After almost 30-minutes they were unable to revive the male and he was pronounced deceased. The other was transported to the hospital where one of those males was pronounced deceased. Initial investigation showed the vehicle was traveling east on Mount Mariah at a high rate of speed, much over the speed limit. The vehicle entered a curve after one bridge, hit the guardrail ripping the passenger side door panels. The vehicle then continued along the edge of the road where it crossed a creek on two wheels and then veered across the road striking the guardrail and bridge on the opposite side of the roadway. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene for an inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim from the scene to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. Mount Mariah reopened about 1 am. Troopers are still trying to determine the identity of all the victims which ranged from a 17-year-old female to a male in his 30's.

I work for our local sheriffs office and just last night one of the deputies called me said he pulled a car over with my 14 year old in it riding passenger, she was supposed to be with her older sister, and this person driving the car that my daughter was in was doing 74 in a 50 rural country road! Needless to say my 14 year old currently hates me and never wants to speak to me again but at least her ass is still alive! Kids these days think their invincible! Wtf! And you can’t tell them nothing because they know it all!

However wearing a seatbelt may have come out differently but it really looks like the amount of guard rail taken out on drivers side I would say no seat belt wasn’t a factor. I would say the driver would have died anyhow. Way too much speed was the factor here. Taking out that much guard rail they had to be running well over the speed limit.

I unfortunately seen worse videos to make your blood run cold and have that creepy tingle that rushes quickly from your tailbone all the way up your spine. When I was on Facebook some years back a video popped up in my feed of a very gory accident in Turkey. Several kids in one car got in a nasty crash that sent them all flying out of the vehicle and ended up all unnaturally mangled and twisted on the pavement. Blood and other nasty body fluids everywhere. One girl was cut in half, a few of her friends were crushed by other vehicles. The creepiest sound you'll ever hear was when someone takes a desperate and very loud last breath of life, the death rattle. The camera showed her upper body curve up, gasp her last breath and die.

I'm not sure if the video is still posted on their Facebook Page, Gettysburg Fire Department here in Gettysburg Pennsylvania has a video of a fatal car crash that happened last week on Baltimore Street on the southern edge of town whereas the driver reportedly traveling northbound at 70 miles per hour failed to round the curve in the road and crashed into two buildings and exploded setting both buildings ablaze the driver was the only fatality.

The biggest factor here is the ledge on the shoulder. When you drop a tire over that you will easily lose control when you yank it back on the highway. Smooth edges would have saved their lives.
