03-07 Escalade interior conversion in a Chevy truck - Desperado

The Escalade has a much nicer interior than the run of the mill pickups, especially since this is a WT model. I change out the steering wheel, dash, air bag, stereo and gauge cluster.

You know, ive never cared for these years of chevy/gmc but with that escalade front🔥🔥 gm missed an awesome opportunity with this matchup. I guarantee these would have sold like hot cakes! Great looking truck! Great work man! I would love to build something custom like this one day!

They definitely would have made a beautiful truck, and so easy to make. They already had every platform that I’m using here, just needed to combine the parts. That’s what the custom guys are here for eh 😁

Either swap the whole escalade steering column with wire harnes or remove the clock spring and wire harness from the escalade steering column and install it on your steering colum. That will make the buttons on the steering wheel work.

There’s nothing in under the dash to plug into the Escalade column. This dash is out of an 05 that didn’t have the options

Yeah. I likes it. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the connector for the wheel buttons is just part of the clock spring. Then you just have to fuse up the circuit. I guess it depends if the wires are on the other side of the spring. Maybe check the other steering shaft that's removed to see if the wires are on the bottom side of the clock spring.

That seems to be what it is, I wonder if they’re momentary buttons that the BCM converts into an on/off signal. Hmm.

@@StationroadRatrods quite possible. I have an intermittent short in mine. It's down by my parking brake I believe. But I think it's specifically the lighting circuit for the button.
