This helped me fix the same issue, thank you! I still have the clicking and the seat can only move a few degrees at a time, so it is not fully fixed. But I was able to get my seat back upright instead of fully reclined and can drive my car comfortably and safely once again!

It worked for me. I couldn't find my 3/8 at first so I just used vice grips on the part he showed and turned it clock-wise until it moved a little and then used my recliner and it worked... guess the motor/rod was just bound up. This was a life saver.

instead of holding the 3/8 i tapped the part you were holding with a hammer inwards LIGHTLY & the chair was back to normal

The socket shown wouldn’t fit on that bolt in my car. Tried other sizes also but none fit correctly

get a vice grip and turn clockwise while hitting the recliner button backwards. works perfect now

Ok so my seat wont go all the back, it goes forward but no back it just stay upright
