For all those who are also confused by the term "Alt-Tab" and think you have to press the Alt key and the Tab key at the same time, no, that is not what is meant here. You only press the Alt key briefly to switch between the two modes Extruge Edge & Edgle Loop. The Tab key is not used at all. by the way Thanks for the tutorial!

@@MichaelPavlovich Yes, that's okay what you said. But even with Zbrush it says "Alt-Tab" on the tool and I misunderstood that. Alt+Tab is a shortcut from Microsoft Windows, which confused me. But everything's ok, my friend came up with the solution.

I pretty much don't use Max or Maya anymore, but damn it took them long enough to add something as basic as this. Glad it's finally there though.

Is it just me being old, or does ZBrush have an increasingly bewildering number of keyboard shortcuts? Add in apps like Photoshop (and maybe Illustrator), to say nothing of Substance Designer and full 3D animation packages, and you have an alphabet soup of roiling confusion. >sigh

I wish they would standardize a little bit. meaning that all the apps use same-ish settings to do similar tasks.. rotate/pan/zoom - extrude etc.
