The overwhelming majority of ppl that try this diet will fail bc it’s too low in protein. I wrecked my body following these low protein diets, did so for five years, eating 10-15% of calories from protein. High fruit and veg. Thought my fatigue, soreness, mind fog, hormonal imbalance was “detox” and not being “strictly raw enough”. What a fool I was. Being male, 35y/o, BMI of 24, highly active, I need to hit AT LEAST 120g of protein per day or else my body can’t sustain itself. I was vegan for ten years and adding in some lean organic animal protein was a game changer.

There are plenty of vegan athletes and bodybuilders meeting their protein requirements through plant sources.
