04-06 Nissan titan center dash panel replaced with some custom work

This is the second video of this guys where he starts the thing mid process. I wanted to wire halos so he shows how to put the headlights back in. I want to change out the bezel around the radio, he starts with the thing already open. Gotta work on that champ

The metal part of the cig lighters push out towards you into the cab. There are 2 tabs that are extremely hard to push out at the same time without a special tool. I ended up using snipping pliers to just cut them off so I could slide them out and put them in the new ones. There are 3 fins around the cig lighters so you can only put them in a one way.

Thanks, saved me some work just did it in 30 minutes. Now I have to figure out to to install my new plastic dash cover for the instrument panel. My shifter is on the column. Looks like the steering column will have to be dropped to get new panel in. Anybody here done this replacement yet?

Mine slips right out and in by just removing shifter lever from shifter assembly(10mm nut) and tilting wheel as far down as it tilts.. no need to drop column..be careful to.not break off the plastic info/odo. display selector"knobs" with cluster bezel during removal or reinstall.. they will get hung up and snap off

I have 2 cracks on each side of the soft smooth plastic at the top. Before I replace center dash console, is there a epoxy/buffing out process to correct this? I'm glad I can have center part swapped out only, and not entire dash. But if I can address these 2 cracks, it would be alot better.

@@DirtyDude Will be replacing both the dashboard sttering and center console bezels. Existing dash is too brittle to patch. Visually, there is no difference between the 06 and 07 Armada parts. (on the dash)Has anyone used 06 parts on a 2007-2009 dash with success?

People who love their trucks, are loyal, who aren't slobs, and want to take care of their trucks as best they can. Nothing wrong with learning from someone who has experienced something before you. Purchasing my 2007 Nissan Titan has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I am a single girl and that truck has protected me on miles of dark and solitary road, when sideswiped by a drunk driver, rear-ended and front-ended while stopped at a traffic light (separate events), hitting an adult deer on the freeway at 65mph+... we have seen a lot of the country together and he is still going strong at 200,000. I will be purchasing a new mid-size truck, but that doesn't mean I need to get rid of or stop caring for a good friend. After 16 years my Titan has an HVAC control knob light that has burned out - what I learned from this video, and others like it, is that I need to chill out and not let it bother me. With all the things that could potentially go wrong trying to access the bulb (scratching or cracking my dash, stripping screws/plastic, breaking wire connectors, altering fit and potentially creating a rattle, etc., etc.) I have made an INFORMED decision to relax and not attempt to disrupt the dash until I absolutely need to. So, thank you to all who recorded and posted their experiences.

What year was your SUV? Mines is an 07 but bought an 04-06 because it said it would fit but I’m having issues with the radio panel now bending and not flushed

My truck is an 2006. I didn't have any issues with that type of situation but also I do have an after market radio and I replaced the original radio and panel. On installing the after market radio I had the buy a radio kit that came with a different radio panel.

I’ll probably have to redo the bezel because how you said, to make sure the clips line up. I just have a small gap on the top where the speaker is.

I despise my old 2007 style 3 knob hvac controls.. every other light in the Dash is led.. but why they chose incandescent hardwired bulbs to illuminate hvac knobs makes no sense. They get hot..melt and warp plastic within. then eventually burn out and let's not forget the black scratches off too easy.light shows up any scratches brighter than any factory placed numbers or letters on the buttons. Shit deaign.. im looking to upgrade to the updated 08-15 conventional hvac panel. Already got the 08 cluster.. I'm sure everyone knows.. yet nissan gave the sentras and rogues a better quality 3 knob control panel.. ofcoarse it won't fit in the titan hvac/stereo trim plate either..spacing of knobs isn't the same.. the titan should of got this design too.. seem overly rigid for a sentra and a rogue
