Very helpful. Great tip about taking the fan off. It gives some wiggle room to get to the two bolts that attach to the condenser. Other wise I think I would need to take the condenser out too, and the AC work is no fun! You saved me a lot of extra work! THANKS!

thanks for filming and demonstrating the evil layout by Chrysler Engineers to make it extremely complex and more difficult by design for do-it-yourself maintenance service by an owner just to get access to the drain plug and lower radiator hose for an otherwise simple chore of doing a radiator fluid flush ~ makes me really regret owing a 2001 Sebring xli ~

Was it just 2 rubber hoses to take off the radiator and that's it. Is there not any trans coolant lines to unhook???

Hi I have a question. I have a 2003. chrysler sebring lx the kilometre is only 78 the person about it. He told me it's just sitting at the back for a couple years. He told me there's no problem. Right now it’s doing Aubrey heating every time it overheat the coolant is boiling that's why went to mechanic changed thermostat , thermos housing, and radiator and still doing the same thing … supposed to be a gift to my daughter… I just feel so disappointed to myself … by the way do you think you could help me if you know what’s wrong with it? Thank you.

Would this be a good time to change the thermostat? this one is located on the bottom of the engine. My intake bolts broke when trying to take off the air bleeder valve. I just said screw it, took it to a local shop but totally did not expect them to want 550 to put on the thermostat and adjust the air bleeder valve. Sounded a bit....excessive imo.

Hi General E DGAF! Thanks for the comment ! only if you a have a issue, no heat or overheat
@HardWhereHero6 жыл бұрын
Dana Crosby lol unfortunately I have both. I took the stupid thing to a mechanic because I about crushed my face while working on it. My uncle did warn me that this paticular model of vehicle is a mechanical nightmare....I mean, who puts the thermostat on the bottom of the engine, and uses the timing chain to drive the water pump? Only our good friends at Chrysler.

So the radiator could be a gallon and half low but the reservoir clearly shows full, because the empty space filled with air Cannot pull the fluid from the reservoir. So add the fluid when engine is cool through the metal radiator cap.
@tynanlicht20676 жыл бұрын
Satochi NAkamoto or you can use the bleeder valve located on the thermostat housing

Hi Kenje! Thank you for commenting! It is under the radiator cap housing. Careful the housing is plastic .

Thanks to your video I was able to replace the radiator. I still have overheating issues, even though I have new thermostat, new fluid, cap and brass temp sensor next to the thermostat. I don't think it's air in the system.

Hi 21064a01 The sebring was still overheating and finally it went to normal after a few days of driving so keep the reservoir where it should be and check the to make sure the coolant is up at the cap. keep me informed

Chrysler 'S are engineered badly. Sebring the coolant in the reservoir does not ( DOES NOT SHOW THE LEVEL OF FLUID IN THE RADIATOR). When the engine is completely cool after several hours take the Radiator cap off. Put the correct ratio of coolant through the radiator (metal cap.) Also the O.E.M. thermostat does not have a fail safe in it. The new thermostat'S do, allowing coolant to pass in overheated conditions replace it. When the radiator is low on fluid the reservoir shows full. It fools you into thinking the radiator is full when it is not. So fill the coolant in through the radiator metal cap. If the thermostat is closed up , coolant will not pass.

Hi Michelle! Thanks for commenting. most of my videos are of what I went though, (What it takes) and for entertainment, because of liability issues. Their are professional videos and use the manual. in this case it was a pain to do because of its age and the bleeding of the system.
