I have a question I havea 01 25 valve cumminsand my oil is leaking behind the timing housing behind the gears and doi have to pull the motor and cam out to change it or can I leave the cam in it?

to do the gear cover gasket do you need to remove the engine, mines leaking i jimmy rigged it with some engine sealent from the outside and it seems to be holding up for now
