You know that's a bad thing to not realize somethings happening until years after it all happened right. For me I was hit on by at least 5 or 6 girls back in high school, I knew what was happening but didn't tell anybody because no one would believe me however I would say to them just because some things that some people think they do is "just being friendly" when most of the time when I encounter a girl that's attractive, the signs that they show are ACTUALLY flirting signs. I have autism, and I know what's flirting and what's not when I encounter a girl that's attractive. People with permanent mental disabilities like Autism are smarter than you think they are.

I remember that when I was in primary school, like in 4th grade, I was teased so many times by girls who "liked me" that I completely lost confidence of someone actually doing so, it was pretty bad because there was a girl I liked and she didn't knew but the other did, and they would agree to prank me by having her go to me and act like she liked me, and I would get hopeful and then she and the others would laugh and be like "it's a prank"... I've never been the smartest monkey on the jungle, but I never pranked other people like that, yet this was done to me so many times while growing up that afterwards every time a girl would come to me and say that she liked me or just act like it, I would immediately panic and get anxious and think it was a prank to make me look bad and laught at me, because of that I started to dismiss everyone who would go to me in an "I'm interested in you" way, and sometimes I would get mad at them and tell them to leave me alone and that it wasn't a fun prank. Years later and I feel bad because I think that maybe, just maybe, some of them did actually like me, and even if I didn't like them back, they didn't deserve to be dismissed or rejected in such a quick way, it also made my life more difficult, don't get me wrong, I have had my thing with girls and a boys, but rarely something serious or lasting, and I still feel incredible uncomfortable, anxious, and uneasy when people get to me acting or telling me that they like me, I just can't believe someone could actually like me anymore, I've been single for more than 5 years, and the last time I was with a person (male or female) was more than 4 years ago... this shit sucks.

The actress, Margo Harshman, was talented enough to be a semi-regular like Stuart, and per IMDB was only doing occasional guest roles at the time.

If this was real life, Leonard would never have been with Penny in the first place for multiple reasons involving both of them, which means he would have been available when Alex came along, and they would have hooked up. Which, based on what we see of her character, would have been a completely compatible match in all areas, from looks to intellect to personality/niceness. So much so that it's almost unrealistic. But that's exactly it.....they would have actually been the real life believable compatible match............but what would that mean for Kaley Cuoco on the show? Getting fired and writing Penny off the show? Demoting Penny back to being "just" the next door neighbor, meanwhile as Leonard permanently moves on and marries Alex? That's how real life would go, but the producers know that Kaley was the other big draw of the show and what made it so successful, after Jim Parsons. So....yeah. Hence the very unbelievable removal of Alex from the show...the most compatible girl match for Leonard, and keeping the not nearly as likable Penny around for a forced and unrealistic/unbelievable relationship pairing.

Hate to say it, but I think Alex and Leonard would have made more sense. Don't get me wrong, I love the fantasy that he won Penny over, but it's pretty unlikely. Alex being into him from the get go, plus their similar fields, would be a stronger and more realistic connection.

Alex was perfect for Leonard. Sadly, the writers never really explored or extended that story line. A close second was the comic book girl, unfortunately Priya cheated on Leonard one episode too late. Priya is a big no, she kept trying to change him, her biggest flaw was she couldn't turn him into a Indian male that would satisfy her parents. Leslie was too sarcastic & emotionless. Stephanie was cute but too presumptive & clingy. Penny's high body count is a non-starter. 2 peripheral women were Joyce Kim & Elizabeth Plimpton(also an apparent high body count).

I was a pimply awkward nerd in high school who got made fun of a lot by the girls. When I left school I moved to another town, my pimples cleared up and I got new clothes and got more physically active with the job I had. I remember I went out one night and some women in office work clothes were at the bar I was at and they were looking in my direction, smiling and talking among themselves. I got offended because I thought I was being made fun of and left. I wasn't until much later I realised they were attracted to me.
