The last time I went boat fishing was when I was still in Key West. Beautiful scenery, sun, warm water, a bit of snorkeling, great people and all about catch and release. I will never understand people thatgo to Alaska to fish and miss the best parts of the experience because it's so cold.

Nice video. I don't know when you were there, but I can barely remember any cloudy days this summer. You must have been there very early to venture into the 3 fish limit territory. a good watch. If you're not into the gravel lot deal, try glacier out by the airport or bear creek on the way to town.

@littlegoobie9 жыл бұрын
+Gone with the Wynns Ah, yes, july 4th is early for silvers for sure which would explain the scene going out by Tatitlek. I'd like to check out that place some day but i believe it's by invitation only. You need to go back another year to see how it usually goes, this season's silvers were on the small side.

+Ron Manning Quite a few of the crab boats use to tender for salmon during salmon season, meaning they offload the smaller boats and land their catch, so that the salmon boats can keep fishing.
@littlegoobie9 жыл бұрын
I've seen all of them there at one point or another with the exception of the Wizard, that one might be too big to get into the small boat harbour, not sure. This year there were maybe 5 show boats (haha) including the Cornelia marie. Wild Bill was there at a peter pan booth one summer when he was still with the Kodiak, but other than that, i think most of the boats are run by another crew when they're set up for tendering vessels.

Jason don't feel bad about the multi hit thing. I always seem to do the same thing, and I hunt and fish regularly. If I need to dispatch something while hunting or if I am trying to kill a fish I always get stuck between killing and not wanting to hurt the quarry. I guess you get to thinking that you don't want it to suffer and the best way to do that is be gentle....which couldn't be further from the truth. I always have to remind myself to really get in there and do the job, anything less is cruel.
@gonewiththewynns9 жыл бұрын
